Impressive. Sends a great message through the whole list - the two best players in the GF are already putting in the extra work.

Bit of a head-scratcher in the tail end of that segment: De Goey appointing his fire-fighter brother-in-law as his manager?

Yes….stems from the David Cloke management book of genius.

Who's heading up the fitness department these days?

Sends a message through the whole comp IMO.

The only thing surprising about this Bing181 is how surprised you are. It's De Going Nowhere for goodness sake. Exactly the sort of dumb thing he would do.

Glad to hear, he's very highly credentialed, i imagine the program will be very similar to what it would have been under Burgo

Trackta.

I honestly think the Grand final was a break out game for Petracca as scary as that is for the competition, he's finally accepted that he's the best player in the comp and teams have to stop him to win, and Oliver seems to really thrive as the number 2 guy i reckon.

I will be putting $$ down on a Petracca Brownlow in 2022, i reckon he's set for an incredible year

Absolutely love this

Driven blokes like T Mac and Viney have plenty of mates now.

good to see everyone is fit and doesn’t need time off legs.

I like the idea, maintain fitness rather than have to get it back. Train hard now and have a good break over Xmas

im expecting a more impressive H&A season next year. With some smashings

Makes perfect sense, needs someone to put out all his spot fires.

Never underestimate what a Firefighter is capable of...... I'm just sayin'.

First managed by his father, then his brother in law.

What's next? His father in law's brother?

Anyone knows what the go is with Oliver? He’s generally in shoulder surgery post season. Anyone with inside info on whether he’s having it done again this year?

I went past Goshes today and noticed some training but had no idea it was our guys, would have stopped if i did.

Certainly there were many (myself included) who were disappointed that other than theGC game we didn’t really smash anyone during the H&A season, but I seem to remember hearing / reading somewhere that this was part of the grand plan, pacing ourselves and letting go come finals time.  The way the season panned out this could well be the case.

I get the impression he gets banged up pretty good every game.. heard a few times that he struggles to walk the following day.

I heard late in the season someone at the club say his shoulders were fine this year which was why he was marking above his head. So potentially just wear and tear on the big bull

GO THE MIGHTY DEES BACK TO BACK

Remember that time Jack Viney and Tomald ended up in a punch-up? I'm a pacifist through-and-through, but it was pretty cool. Now what, they're training partners? Boo a bit.

  • GAMEDAY: Fremantle

It’s Game Day and the Demons have made the long trip west to take on Fremantle tonight at Optus Stadium. Can Melbourne make it two from two to start the season, and what are you hoping to see from the Dees under the lights in Perth?

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

  • NON-MFC: Round 02

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • PREGAME: Fremantle

After a stunning victory over the Saints in the first round of the Season the Demons head over to Perth to take on the Dockers who choked in their first match against the Cats. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
