What  happened in your second paragraph? I can’t make sense of it.

The fourth player to be named as emergency will be another Demon whose identity is unknown and is also unimportant as he won't be playing.

I expect Jordon will be named the injury sub and the starting line-up will be unchanged from last game.

Now that he is on media Street he has to go against the grain to stay relevant

I think you're right BM but its sad also. Kane cornes is highly opinionated for the same reason but he always argues his case.

The best ross can do is say ."... so and so will get the job done...". Is that it?

Well, the SEN footy writers don't rate us. Apparently Bevo is a tactical genius and Goody has as much tactical acumen as a lettuce

I get the feeling this is going to be a very physical game with a lot of agro.

No doubt Max will be targeted but I cant imagine Jv being silent about that.

Harmes and Libba will probably duke it out.

May will probably be pushed about with his hammy in question but he can hold his own.

Hannan will be angry again.

Tmac will probably and hopefully throw his muscle about.

Anb, Trac and Lever never ones to take a step back.

And finally Fritta to fire up.

Can't wait.

They can toy with Max at their own expense.

Don't poke the bear, dogs.

I wouldn't mind if one of our defenders gets into Naughton's path occasionally in a manner that he can't flop around 'begging' for a blocking free.  Or May put a bit of side ways body contact on him before he takes his leap/takes a run.

I'm expecting their staging exaggeration to be at an all time high, especially Hunter and Weightman.  Both very good at throwing the head back for a 'high' free and leaning back into their opp as if being held, especially when they know they can't get to the ball!  Not to mention others who drop the ball before being tackled and get a 'holding' free.  They know all the tricks and will exploit them.

100% agree. they have many clever tricks, watching the replays Macrae often 'dives' forward dishing off the ball almost unnecessarily to draw a high free. he will propel himself horizontally.  if we don't give up those type of frees, it will help keep the ball 'live' rather than the doggies earning a freebie.

First time I’ve seen the majority pick the Dogs. Reckon it’s been about 75-25 towards Melbourne I’ve seen.

I had a really vivid dream last night about the Grand Final. The scores were 146 - 42 in the third quarter, Richmond were thumping us. I didn’t see how it ended because I left early. Apologies that I can’t report on the end result but my mate texted me and said Gary Ayres won the Norm Smith.

Still better than my dream. The dogs were leading by 30 points at 3qt a couple of nights ago. I hope we make up the deficit by 3qt Saturday evening.

GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
