titan_uranus 25,255 Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 Port and Geelong won't go anywhere until they fix their respective inherent problems. Geelong's gameplan doesn't work in finals. Port cannot deal with pressure. 2 Quote

Too many prefer to guard space instead. Fumble fingers from too many tonight also whereas the Dogs were very slick / one touch in that first half. Quote

dees189227 12,527 Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 Credit to the dogs. Finish 5th travel everywhere and come out and out this performance on. But I'm sure Goody will look back on where we went wrong last time they beat us. Macrae and Bont performed well and we have to clamp down on Caleb Daniel as he was allowed to do what he wanted. I feel we have the advantage with Maxy in the ruck and hopefully our forwards can stand up and kick straight. Naughton will need to be kept quiet. It's going to be a good game. 4 Quote

SaberFang 7,151 Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 (edited) I guess it's fitting that the best two teams of 2021 end up in the Grand Final together, but if the Bulldogs win in a fortnight the AFL must scrap the pre-finals-grand-final-whatever-final bye. We should not be disadvantaged for finishing as minor premiers then winning both finals, while another team (who blew up their top 4 position) is rewarded with a week off to rest up before the big dance. It was already a farce back in 2016, it will be even worse with the last-minute scheduling change in 2021. Edited September 11, 2021 by SaberFang 3 Quote
Cards13 9,117 Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 The AFL would be hating Dees v Dogs grannie. Our band wagon will be a little lighter in two weeks. Really chuffed though that two under dog teams are going to be going at it. 1 Quote
