Trac has been good in close. Two poor shots on goal and a bad entry undid all his good work but his work inside a big reason why we are so far ahead.

Trac quiet in 1st. Better in second and very dangerous. Discovered he has some pace and burst.  Needs Goalkicking practice.  #GiveEmHell

Thinking about what happened last week isn't making me feel better! Just need to keep playing our game it was fully on our terms.

5 goals up at half time.
Gotta be happy with that.

Still, this game would be over if we kicked straight that qr.
One sacrificial goat not enough for finals obviously.
2 next game.

Happier if Petracca’s DE% was closer to 80 than 50, we would be 2 goals further ahead! For a guy with his talent I find some of his disposals puzzling. Those 2 running shots at goal should be absolute gimmes.

The more I see the tg incident the worse it looks. Sounded guilty in his interview when asked about it..." caught up in the moment"

Good luck tg ...youll need it .

At first I thought a fine but now...Two weeks I reckon.

Agreed. Greene was the definition of aggressive. His response in the interview was hardly convincing.

Riewoldt and Jono Brown trying to justify Toby Greene's bump on the umpire. Seriously give me a break, no room for that crap in the game. Multiple weeks for me.

Perhaps the old “Jack Viney, bad look for the game” suspension?

That’s a very very risky comment, tempting fate. They get some momentum, and things can change. Hopefully not…

We're a better team than them. If we maintain our focus in the second half, we win.

And we have clayton oliver and they don't

Its a fair call

One of the best quarters we've played all year, shame about the lack of accuracy in front of goal. That half is done though, gotta play this second half like the score is 0-0 and maintain the intensity of the second quarter.

And how 'bout Luke Hodge interview after the game.
Practically told Greene what to say.

Can’t let the Lions mids win quick clearances too start the quarter. Keep the pressure on boys!

Joe Daniher has awesome taste in music. And that’s where his good points list ends.

Great first half keep it up boys.!!

Many of the Lions players are down on output.

The time the Lions looked best was when they are forcing and surging the ball forward.  That takes plenty of energy, and they aren't getting easy ball movement. Our fitness will set us well.

They are playing a game we are forcing them into, which suits our style.

Sparrow doing plenty of link work.

Oliver, wow, disposal are impacting big time.

River a bit nervous.

We are marking everywhere.

Forwards working well.

Great pressure footy, made it too hard for them.

Expect them to come out with changes to style and with fire.

Go Dees!

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
