I've joined other trains for the final ride.   It's ok that people want to join ours

As far as i'm concerned, the more support we have the better

I normally have a preferred team that I’d like to see win, either a mates team or one that hasn’t won one for ages, so I certainly don’t mind people jumping on our journey. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Hell, if we make the GF I’d be happy if a lot of neutral supporters that will be able to attend, wherever the game is played, support us loudly. 💪🏼🔵🔴

i for one welcome everyone who wants to join our bandwagon

the hallmark of successful sides is how many interlopers switch and clamber aboard

i want our membership up to that 75k target; if people wanna join us now we can sniff success, the more the merrier

I had some fondness for Carlton and North because of Barassi.  And some of my mates followed the Tigers so I was on that bandwagon in the 70's.

And there is much goodwill to the MFC simply because we are called Melbourne.

All aboard.

Just enjoy every moment, and if we are able to win it this year, buy everything after our GF win😉

If other supporters want to cheer us to a win, then let them come😊

Delete. CBF.

What have I done wrong? I haven’t even made an appearance in the thread yet? 😎😉

We’ll have a ‘fairytale year’ where we aren’t the object of blatant hostility. If we win and become a dynasty, the Hatorade will flow thick and fast.

We’re here to embrace the joy, not wallow in collected resentments. I say drink it in!

This is dumb. You want to build the club and shore up its existence?

Get over seeing new faces - we need them.

AND get used to seeing some old faces that you don’t like seeing!

Everyone welcome.

what do you mean mate? CBF What does that mean?

Replied and then decided to delete it because I couldn't be "effed" dealing with it tbh.

Bizarre thread mate. I was happy for the Dogs, I was happy for Richmond (the first time), I think it's great that other fans want us to do well.

Yep - the more, the merrier, I say. Get the Goodwin-Crows connection going strong this week, to get as many SA neutrals behind us on Sat night.

Anyone who wants to support us is welcomed. As a neutral fan you’d surely be backing us and that’s great.

The last time we had a genuine bandwagon was 87 I reckon. I welcome every. single. one.
For the older more bruised of us, like myself, we can take a particular pleasure that only those who have suffered know. But every sungle supporter who turns up at this hour brings a bit more joy to my heart.

Any chance SANFL Norwood supporters will turn up on Saturday night to give us some support?

I understand that newcomers will not understand our experience of enduring disappointment for 57 years; but whatever, everyone’s welcome.
It is, however, sweeter for those of us who have suffered the most.

Considering most of our games will be watched live by neutrals I hope they all jump on our bandwagon and shake whatever stadium we play in.

I can understand the sentiment. I went week in and week out when we got thumped every week. When you are down and out out and get txts from people hanging [censored] on you. They won't be coming to my party.

There are lots of mates that sympathized with me over that period. They are welcome on the bandwagon and are jumping on.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
