This is vs. Adelaide. This simply CANNOT happen next week.

Has there ever been a more depressing 21 point half time. Team changes and travel last week has to be a factor.

We are messing around with it. Dropping marks, missing kicks. We are lucky they can't kick straight

Gee we have some lazy players when we're favourites.

Strong wind out there. Doesn’t excuse all the kicking but some

Decision making/execution/game awareness forward of centre is a killer. We need a bowey/Salem like half forward. We cough up what would be simple possession chain goals or set shots kicking or handballing to the wrong spots a lot.

Could be better, but if you said 21 point lead at half time, I’d take it.

Better decision making moving forward will be the cherry on the sundae.

Are we just exhausted? Because these sloppy skills are a big worry.

Subconsciously keeping a bit in reserve. Not surprising given the turmoil of the last couple of weeks, and the big games to come.

Our inability to defend their running short possession game through the middle is almost comical. They’ll lose the sniff in the second half I suspect, but it’s very frustrating, and offers a lesson in how to play us. When our all court defence is right on, it’s harder to execute, but the Crows (again a shadow of their best personnel) are making it look very easy at times. If I were Brad Scott, I’d be liking what I see.

Clarry needs to stop talking about what an ordinary kick he is. It’s becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Or he could work on it. Probably doesn’t see it as important. If his hand balling started go awry.....he’d then probably work on his game.

Oliver a great player but unfortunately the criticism with his kicking is 100% true and and accurate.

Its why petracca has passed him. Trac was a sho ker too and did something about it

Clarry a brilliant engine room player though. Just dont kick inside 50.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
