It's hard to argue against the two outs and I'm really happy to see Bowey given a chance, and Sparrow given a game.

Harmes surely on thin ice. Would want to see a massive game from him (tagging Touk Miller, maybe?).

Can someone confirm why the best kicker at the club can’t get a game?

Clealry we’re not interested in giving Jackson or Rivers a clearly needed rest.

If you're referring to Melksham, whilst I wasn't against us trying him it's not like he's been in any sort of form of late, and we know how damaging (in a bad way) his lack of defensive pressure can be.

As to Jackson/Rivers, poor form doesn't always mean needs rest. Again, whilst there were arguments about both their spots, were we going to make four changes in one week?

Pretty good changes, but it would have been great to bring in Weid for Jacko, if for no other reason than to give Jacko a break and try a few things before finals. Harmes has been pretty poor, don't want him doing anything fancy this weekend - tag Touk. That's all.

Give them an extra couple of days off training? Not sure why rests always need to involve missing a game

Would have rested Dogga for the Weid

Looking forward to seeing Bowey play his first senior game

Best of luck young man

Call it an omission then. Jackson could’ve been dropped rather than rested.

Thrilled for Bowie.  From the bits I’ve seen of the VFL he looks like a beauty!

I don’t understand the faith being shown in Harmes.

Fair enough. Thought Melksham could have come in for him personally, but happy to see him hold his spot.

Not much fanfare for Boweys debut..

Hoping there will be a debut announcement video up soon. They're always heart-warming.

I thought Jacko needed a rest but obviously the club and Burgo are managing him. He needs to lift his second efforts and like the Weid, get some grippo to take those marks.

This is a must win.  Lose this and the double chance is in jeopardy.

Good to see two young blokes coming in to give us some energy.

Jordon has 2 tackles and 3 kicks on the weekend so his form has dropped off which is fair enough for a first year AFL player

Harmes is very lucky

Umpire Nathan Williamson out for this week, replaced by Mathew Nicholls of 'why did you do that?' fame.

Reckon Milkshake will be the sub.

LJ should have been managed this week for Melk or Daw.  He hit the wall a few weeks back

Don't get this, happy for Bowey and Sparrow, but this really doesn't address our forward line issues

I reckon they've decided this is our best fwd line set up and to give it more weeks to gel together.  Weed coming in didn't work, now BB is struggling but I think it's best to stick with it for now.

they don't have much up fwd but their young midfield looks full of run and talent

if May/Petty and Lever can handle King then we should be OK

ps. Cunnington is stiff being marked as 'managed' this week. Bloke lost a nut!

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
