GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn

Jeez this is hard to watch. This is a [censored] team with a huge injury list and nothing to play for. Anything less than a 60 point win is a failure tonight, and yet we’re barely ahead now.

Wake up you lazy buggers. You can’t just rock up and win. You actually have to work to get the result.

2.3 to 4.0 this quarter. Hawks are 17th and on form worst side in the comp. Goodwin needs to give this mob a rocket. Cats and Dogs put the foot to the throat of geams like this. We just linger and make things so difficult.

If this continues i would even take Melk over Viney in the middle for a while and let Viney try and find some connection/skills down at Casey.

Problem is there's no Casey and probably won't be for weeks.

Invest in Sparrow.

Geez were walking now

Disgraceful

Viney needs to go down to VFL and earn his spot. Only has a left foot and it ain’t much good. Needs to know his limits and play within them.

[censored] over this. We play pathetic football against crap opposition. We need the win and the percentage. Pull your finger out and get going. This is just inexcusable to let Hawthorn waltz inside 50 for easy goals.
Can’t even win a clearance against these plodders. Viney absolute crap.
Need a hell of a lot more from Tmac too.

I just dont understand our team at times

Its so between the ears.

Its a big concern.

Why can’t we just bloody bury a team early!? 26 points up against 17th on the ladder, dominating where the ball is, but then take the foot off the throat....again!

Not finishing our work, again. Brown has been good, but jeez you’d put that first shot in the bank usually.

If any game this year confirms what we’ve been seeing all year, we just don’t know how to be a good, let alone great team. And it’s really disappointing. To give probably the worst AFL team put on the park this year a 3 goal run and a second quarter victory is frankly woeful stuff. The Hawks will likely run out of puff, and we’ll get the win, but once more against a lowly team we’ve shown our lack of dominance.

In fact he can go back home and babysit seriously ****ful player home the I purfug did we sign a hack rugby p lk ayer up on a huge deal I mesmerising

I am absolutely livid. Some of these players are just plain lazy. Why the [censored] do we need to make this so [censored] hard. We are so losing this game.

Let them off the hook there, we were 4 goals up should've gone into the break 40 up, let's roll them in the 3rd!!

C'mon Demons!!!!

Disappointing.

It’s rare that we give up chains of goals, but we did.

We need to make a statement in the 3rd quarter.

Lol Viney tagging Mitchell to 20 touches at half time. FMD.
Time to get serious. You either want to stamp your authority on this competition or you want to continue to be untrustworthy.

Opposition teams clearly know that they just have to try against us and it’s a contest. Clearly still have a softness or cockiness in our attitude.

having said that Hawks are playing out of their skins. Is it coincidence or do we always bring out the best in teams.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
