Gawn - dominated centre again

Viney - tackling was dynamic

Hibberd - quiet but vital

May - continued his dominance

Petty - career best game

Rivers - tight and attacking

Salem - outstanding attacking defender

Lever - wonderful defensive leader

Langdon - was surprisingly inefficient

Brayshaw - some important intercepts

Harmes - better second half

Oliver - dynamic and classy

Petracca - classy and dynamic

Fritsch - continued quiet phase

McDonald - 4 consistent quarters

 Brown - was pleasingly impressive

Pickett - excitement returned again

Spargo - possessions were impressive

Jackson - a quiet achiever

Jordon - some important touches

Hunt - run was vital

Neal-Bullen- couldn’t stop fumbling

Everyone - Happy playing role

Some roles mean you get 6 disposals and run to clog up space all day. Some mean you get 30+ and kick 3

Some take 10 intercepts, some just defend space.

This is a team that understand what they do for each other. Nothing proves this better than Gus Brayshaw. Drafted as probably the second best midfielder in his year, finishes third in the brownlow playing as an inside mid. And now asked to run lanes up and down the dead wing as a defensive mid. He, or more importantly his attitude, is the reason we are winning.

He should be very proud.

IMHO of course

Petty - his breakout game

I've been very impressed with Petty lately. I was initially concerned that Tomlison's injury would have a negative effect on our backline, but Petty has covered him perfectly.

JJ - reads game beautifully

Gawn - surged it forward

Viney - a few errors

Hibberd - won vital contests

May - continued AA season

Petty - marking with confidence

Rivers - multiple brave efforts

Salem - Poised when needed

Lever - in his groove

Langdon - important possessions late

Brayshaw - has tidied disposals

Harmes - Indecisive first half

Oliver - Loves Adelaide Oval

Petracca - Kicked the sealer

Fritsch - A little patchy

McDonald - Stopped Ports surge

Brown - Goalless but handy

Pickett - Tackles pressure returned

Spargo - Handy early goal

Jackson - One confident mark

Jordon - Stuck to basics

Hunt - Erased horrible experience

Neal-Bullen- Willing but untidy

Dr. D: Happily proven wrong
Goodwin: Got players up

Umpiring was amongst the most Biased I have EVER seen incompetent, inept and kept Port in the game!

Of all the umpiring we've seen this year I didn't think last night's was anywhere near the worst.

Yes they made some errors but if you're expecting flawless umpiring you're watching the wrong sport.

The 50m penalty for Pickett against Jonas in the second quarter was a decision that, had the shoe been on the other foot, Demonland would have erupted over.

The umpiring wasn't that bad. You sound like an Essendon supporter!

You would never ever expect anything other than what Angus is doing coming from his exceptional Brayshaw family background.

He is a most underrated player on the wing and knits up the defence and forward line well with tough competitive football which helps our team keep control on the non Langers wing. Can't remember any game this year our wings have been beaten (except Vs Pies) badly.

Plus we can play Angus at HB or on the forward line or on the ball if need be also.

Champion human being is Gus much like     Previous Capt. Jack Trengove.
