Yep and if we dont we aint ruthless enough at selection to go Deep into September

Out Hunt

In Langdon.

I know Melk, and Weed are under performing but we can afford to carry them till they surprise us all and come good

I don't reckon he is, haven't seen many replays yet but to me it looked like a hand to the chest and Rich flopped. Might be wrong tho.

Melksham OUT

Langdon IN

in : Langdon

Out: Melksham

By Brown do you mean Mitch tango Brown or Ben Brown?

Not Mitch...

IN: Langdon, B.Brown

OUT: Melk, Weid

?: Is Viney Ready? Think he is an automatic inclusion, but tough to find an OUT. Hunt maybe, but the defensive unit has been good, think her keeps his spot for now. Sparrow as the last one in, but he was good tonight. Jordan, maybe due for a rest?

OUT: Melk
IN: Langdon

They'll give Weid one more chance, rightly or wrongly.

Goodwin ruled Viney out until after the bye, in his presser earlier in the week.

He's so close, just smash anyone in your way, no matter what color jumper they are wearing, they'll learn

1-2 weeks away I think

Langdon for Melk makes sense.

I think Hunt's too important for the structure and solid enough defensively that he's still unlikely to be dropped. But if he's sore then the week off afterwards does encourage playing it safe. A look at Bowey has to be something the coaches are itching for I'd imagine. A taste of the big leagues might sharpen him up to work on his defensive stuff at Casey.

I can't imagine they drop Weid now without any VFL. Did enough.

OUT: Weideman, Hunt, Melksham

IN: BBrown, Bowey, Langdon

Hunt- Depends on his Shoulder.

Weed and Melksham might get the chop. Langdon definitely comes back in. Weed keeps having almost contests.

Please don't drop Sparrow again. He along with Jordon just add a different element to our midfield mix.

Super tough and courageous.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
