Trac on channel 7 now. Jeez, he's matured in the last year or so. Never saw him as captain material but he may be now

I think ill sit down and watch that again....

The Dogs had 19 scoring shots, that's their lowest all year (they had 20 against Richmond).

And we kept them to that amount on Marvel.

He is a weapon Brayshaw. Been harping on about him for weeks rag dolled Bont on 3-4 occasions.

Huge result lads.

I've held back. No longer. I believe now.

Having the game stolen from them last week gave the team the hunger to win well tonight, while the Dogs had an easy game against the Saints last week, giving them a false sense of their worth.

Well done Dees, a good four quarter game all round. And there is room for improvement!

In my best BT impression,

"Gee they could have used the Bont the tonight."

Take a bow James Harmes, finally back to being the tagger he is meant to be!

Most possessions I can remember Spargs having ever.

Our mean and median average winning margin is basically same. Would be nice to win a match by more than four-to-five goals one day. Well done to the boys though.

COME ON GUYS, ALL OF US, GROUP HUG...EVEN ALL THE OLD CURMUDGEONS...

I don’t think Langdon being subbed out was for [censored] and giggles, the doctor has to believe the player has an injury that will rule him out for the next 12 days, if the player recovers before that he can play, but only “IF” the AFL sign off on the player playing. The doctor also has to write a medical certificate for the player by the next working day and submit it to the AFL. A stupid risk to take for [censored] and giggles. ??‍♂️

I’m so not surprised Trac’s mum dropped off a big tray of lasagna. I bet it tasted great too!

Take a bow James Harmes. So good to see him back doing what he did best in 2018

Yeah but it’s the CLUB doctor. Not an independent one. It’s like getting a medical certificate from your family GP when you’re sick *cough* going fishing *cough*

Such a great defensive game from the wing. Really shut down Bont in quiet a few contests, which is so important since Bont is usually  very damaging.

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

  • NON-MFC: Round 02

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

  • POSTGAME: St. Kilda

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
