Premiership contenders don't lose to teams like Adelaide.ย ย ย  We might make a prelim but we wont win the flag.

Theย  Dogs and Lions will beat us the next two weeks.

Now is not the time for MFCSS fatalism

We'll re-group and go again.

Umpire [censored] Himself!!!

From the umpires, many obvious and a few criticals as far as the 'crowd pleasers' were concerned. Kept the Crows in the game. Cost us dearly all through the game. Oliver, Tracca and Langdon superb. Harmes much better, as well. Missed Salem's cleaning-up when the ball came to the ground. Jackson is a gun and plays better each week. Great exhibition in the ruck and around the ground tonight.ย

ย

Kinda conflicted. Know it was a loss we had to had, but would much rather it have been against a top team like Bulldogs, than a dud team like Adelaide.ย ย I hope this is a serious wake up call to not get too confident. Maybe theyโ€™ll take the next game more seriously. Iโ€™m worried that we had a pretty good team even though Salem wasnโ€™t playing.

Sad ?

Just to many passengers today, the forward line was terrible.ย  We just panicked fumbled and we're out worked.

ย

Not too fussed if Sam W leaves our club. He played with little intensity today when we really needed him to contribute.

I guess they had to role the dice but sadly Bbb would have been the better option.

Melksham is not a goid pkayer either.

Crows defence was excellent tonight.

I argued our middield srocjs were low with Jack V out but I got howled down.

Its always two weeks out with Viney which always turns into six.

Hunt is back to his old self. Tommy had a shocker and Jwtta isnt up to it anymore.

We looked tired as well.

It was always going to be tough but made worst by the shocking non decisuons at the end.

Take a bow umps you won a game for the crows or at keast caused a draw.

So unprofessional. Its exactly what was discussed last week in umpires being swayed by home crowds.

Spineless boofheads.

There is no integrity in the AFL. For those umps to not pay those 2 frees near the end really makes you question the professionalism of this competition. If that was a final.. It would be catastrophic. It makes it really hard to unconditionally love our game.ย

I hope the ladder position of the crows isn't dwelled on... 16th or not, they played a great brand on the day. It's just unfortunate they did it against us (noting full well they would have pumped themselves up to "take it the top of the ladder Dees")

Face it, relying on a free kick in the last seconds to beat a bottom side is not good enough.

Fact is that was right on front of the umpire and he squibbed the decision. Bet if it had of happened down the other end the result would have been different

ย

BTW the umps are ducking blind. Last quarter 2 decisions costs us big time. barstards.ย

We lost because too many went against exactly what we've brought all year - selflessness and sacrificing your game for the good of the team.

Too many trying to be the hero. Too many trying to get the easy kick. Fritta's non-goal just summed up a [censored] day at the office.

Salem sorely missed.ย  In for Jetta next week.ย  BBB in for Weids.ย  Viney in for JJ.

Bombing it into fwd 50 didn't let TMac, BF and Weids to get into the game at all.

Well played Adelaide.ย  Hungrier when it counted.ย ย

Umpiring late in the game was deplorable.

Also just in advance, canย we also have a moratorium on being told to โ€˜lighten upโ€™ or โ€˜weโ€™re 9-1 youโ€™d think someone died round hereโ€™ or any other cool thing that some freedom fighterย wants to say? Most of us will see the light eventually but give us 1 hr at least.

Thank you! I couldnโ€™t agree more. Iโ€™m literally gutted. So your suggestion is a great one.ย But personally Iโ€™m gonna need a little more than an hour. ?

I wish I could be angry. Being disappointedย is so much harder.ย

Yes, but you're not addressing what I said

Our connection to the forward line is pretty bad still and also impacts our ability to maintain pressure once the ball hits the deck. Although I think our effort level was poor for 60% of the game which compounded our poor delivery.

A few blokes wonโ€™t enjoy the loss review during the week.

Some reasons we lost:ย

Gawn dropping regulation marks and palming it into open goalsย

May getting done over by a big eared inbred bogan

Trac and Harmes playing like millionairesย

Jetta is done.

Hunt is only good when Salem is covering his [censored].ย

Weideman and Fritsch actual liabilitiesย

JJ nervous with ball in handย

Poor defensive effort all over the ground in the first half. Lazy, unaccountable football allowing Adelaide to run down the corridor unaccounted and kick easy goals from clearancesย

Turnovers. Cannot hit the side of a barn.ย

Reasons why we didnโ€™t lose by more:

Oliverย
Leverย
Langdon
Jackson in the ruckย

Don't forget Jordon. Everytime he touched it he turned it over.

The one thing Goodwin hasn't managed to change

Bulldust

Lots of frustrating cameos tonight.

If only Jackson could mark. He gets to so many contests, and his hands are first to the ball. But he just can't clunk them...yet.

Jordon's kicking is becoming a real worry. For a bloke who is playing so well he consistently produces howlers.

Fritschย and his kicking...ย

Max in many dumb moments.

And our basic skills - marking, handballing, kicking, and general ball handling was torturous to watch.

But our main problem ย is our midfield. The number of times they waltzed through the corridor in numbers, especially with one running ahead of the play, was infuriating.ย

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
