I was at the Captain's Run this morning. Not only did Trac train, he looked completely unimpeded, ran at full pace and looked sharp. He did every drill and there was no sign of any limp. From what I saw in the first 30 minutes there is no way in the world he is not playing.ย

No bring Sparrow in and give him a go.
Can always make changes during the game.

PLEASE this incessant fantasy with Tmac on the wing is ridiculous.

Its almost getting fans thinking of ways to change the team structure to get him there.

In case any one is under the delusion that we could move a Tmac full time to the wing and succeed they doย ย not understand the logic of team balance or placing players in their best positions.

Yes a player can be moved during a game and Tmac performed that role vs North in Hobart and played on the backline in place of Tommo. Great result and he could be a Harry McKay opponent at some stage on Sunday ย with Petty being moved toย CHF.

Our forward line needs Tmac at his best as he kicks straight is mobile and is a team player above all else. He's playing ย just fine and when it's Not broke don't try and fix it.

For those inย the "Tommy for Wing" club yes he played about 5 mins a game starting ย there to get him mobile fir his forward starring role in 2018. Far different than wanting him to line up there and run all day. The team needs pace on the wing and Iย am perfectly happy with Angus performing that role until say Fraser Rosman or one if the other players earns a game in that position.

Leave Tommy be the leader of our forward line and his work ย ethic and Bulk plus clunk marking are proving priceless to our improvement and formย in 2021.

ย

ย

And I'd move Hudson to CHB and Barassi into the back pocket.ย

ย

Based on last weeks match ups Carlton are going to be looking at some significant disadvantages down back.ย

Weideman should get Plowman, who he'll have a serious advantage over,ย  ย  ย Fritsch should get Stocker, who he should be too good in the air forย  ย and Saad will either have to sacrifice his running game to mind Kozzie, or Kozzie could get on the end of a few. he's way too good to be as unaccountable as Saad can be.ย

Spargo and Melksham are both very smart as well and will make Docherty defendย

I want us and the doggies to win... toย open up a gap on 3rd place. 1st orย 2nd is no advsntage either way, while 3rd loses home ground 1st week.ย

Sounds like a rumour started by the Carlton nuffies over at SEN to stir things up. They were having a segment called โ€œsure thingโ€ or something on Bob and Andyโ€™s show and they reckon there is nothing more sure than Carlton winning. They talk a bunch of dribble, amongst some good content.ย

Collingwood lost again. If Melbourne beat Carlton its pretty much curtains for Coll ,Ess and Carlton for 2021. The media will be distraught. They'll have nothing to babbleย about except Eddie .

Collingwood are already Curtin's, weather we win or lose to Carlton, any team who loses to Collingwood will not play finals

Its possible (unlikely) Dees could be undefeated leading up to the Collingwood game. Thatย could be the game we lose.We wont make the finals?

I reckon Chandler will be an in for Melksham who'll be dropped and used as a medical sub.

Definitely think the inclusion of Weideman calls for another ground level player.ย

Sneaky chance for Chandler in for Melksham I reckon. We lose a bit of mongrel with Weid in for Jacko, so think we may look to balance it out with another genuine small instead of a midsized player like Melk.

I'm available on a part time basis for any selectors reading

Interesting!

The Melk can be dropped!

Thatโ€™s amazing. ย Chandler deserves a run. This is his chance.ย

I cant believe Goody actually dropped Milkshake. I thought that was impossible.ย

WOW

PS: I think its a good call, super excited to see what Chandler can do re: pressure and we get the weed!

Good changes

Big fan, got some good speed at the feet of the 3 talls.ย

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, weโ€™ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binmanโ€™s Stats Files. Not because it isnโ€™t important; quite the opposite. Itโ€™s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourneโ€™s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last yearโ€™s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although itโ€™s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sundayโ€™s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to foolโ€™s gold.
