I went and reviewed his 2020 and 2021 highlights, he is not a squib. I actually think you should apologise. He will be part of our premiership team. This post has aged well. 2 1 1 Quote
DeeZone 10,594 Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 Alex Neal-Bullen is a very special kind of selfless player, gut runner extraordinaire, absorbs punishment with aplomb, works hard for his teammates and celebrates each and every great team act and goal scored. Love ANB, Nibbler Bullen.!!! 10 1 Quote

Still love ANB 2. I miss Lord Nev 1 2 Quote
MrFreeze 2,055 Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 On top of the fanatic work rate, he just looks much more smooth and classy this year. Champion player, love Nibs. 5 1 Quote
spirit of norm smith 16,679 Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 Yes ANB can be a barometer sometimes for the team. Important link man across the half forward line. Playing a good role in the last 2 games. He is using his endurance as a weapon in the team. I’d like to see him kick more goals as he gets chances and aim for 25-30 at least across the season (like he did in 2018). Output of 7 to 10 goals a year is actually well below par for his role. 3 Quote
rpfc 29,029 Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 He is such an important role player, but is limited so when he plays with other ‘role players’ like Spargo his value is diminished because he needs special players around ensure his grunt work has its biggest impact. He is a link in a chain, and not a weak one. 2 Quote

Agree Spirit O N S, he snagged 19 last year but would love to see him up the ante and average a goal / game and play 200 games for us. 1 Quote

layzie 34,528 Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Lets go ANB. Glad you proved those awful naysayers wrong! 1 Quote
Deefender 254 Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Towards the end of the 2021 season ANB had a free kick for goal about 40 metres out on the boundary. He kicked a banana right through the middle. The Dees never looked back thereafter. 2 1 Quote

Hopeful Demon 1,541 Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 How good has this guy been? He has low-key been our best player this year. I thought we were done late in the third quarter but he just kept on giving. We wouldn't have been close without him tonight. 3 Quote
Demon Jack 7,194 Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 Just when I thought he had a career best game last week, he comes tonight with a BOG match winning performance. Easily one of our important players at the moment alongside Maxy and May. 1 Quote
DeeZee 7,496 Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 Geez he has been good this year, I’m buying a badge! 2 1 Quote
layzie 34,528 Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 So proud of this guy. I'm happy to call him an A-grader now. 23 possessions 2 awesome goals and 30 yes 30 with a 'three' pressure acts. Unheard of. 3 Quote
dee-tox 4,835 Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 Maybe he is what they call a late maturer? Set shot kicking, work in close, gut running, tackling... he's doing it all now! 2 Quote
durango 2,024 Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 I think he is playing more midfield time so he can use his gut running to make more opportunities to get possessions and has improved his disposal. 1 Quote

Great to see his game tonight 👏👏👏👏 His two goals were so important. Thats what he needs to do to make his HFF role so effective. He was like an extra mid tonight. 3 Quote

You're spot on - we don't win that game without him. The best game he's played. 7 Quote

leave it to deever 17,618 Posted March 30, 2024 Author Posted March 30, 2024 Best game I've seen him play last night. Chock full of confidence there was no way he was missing any of those goals. He's in great form at present. Quote
