dazzledavey36 56,331 Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 Looking at these photos no one can question whether Pickett trained in his time away. Looks really trimmed and fit. AFL 2021 Training Melbourne 19 4 2 Quote
Pickett2Jackson 3,904 Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 Kozzies new hair is magnificent. Salem, Melk, Ben Brown and Hibbo all in action.,.. injury list should look a lot smaller soon with any luck. 5 2 Quote
Little Goffy 14,963 Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 Pickett is looking downright sinewy in some of those. Not often sinews are a testament to good character but clearly we've got a kid who takes his training seriously here. Quote

He can now safely go into the midfield. 3 Quote

Because, without putting too much pressure on the kid, and at the risk of hyperbole, i reckon kozzie is in our top 10 most important players. Without him we are next to hopeless in terms of pressure inside our 50, which is one of the most important/impactful factors in footy. 2 Quote
joshua 74 Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 Good to see Viney appears to be training and not in rehab 2 Quote
DeeSpencer 26,675 Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 Kozzie is 19 and skinny, I'm not convinced photos alone provide any real evidence of how much training he did or didn't do. I also don't really care, he's back, he looks happy enough and his hair looks great.\ Good to see so many under the injury cloud out there. Bowey's gone with the game day haircut. No idea yet if he can play but Deakyn Smith looks like he'll be a very strong boy when he matures. Is there something wrong with Bedford's handball technique? Quote
Willmoy1947 4,261 Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 I like that Yze is giving Viney advice. He could be the difference for our whole setup success.. 5 1 Quote

binman 44,822 Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 Thanks for the photos DL. A couple of random thoughts on them: I'm no doctor but May, Viney, Brown and Melksham look good to go the photos of Kozzie in the air are a bit deceptive - he is actually 80 feet up not sure why they are allowing hunt to kick salem is gym shy Spallow look like he he is about to sort crying coz i cant get his name right 2 Quote

The best photos by far were seeing the group pay attention to Yze. No fingers exploring orrifices either Quote
dazzledavey36 56,331 Posted March 15, 2021 Author Posted March 15, 2021 Melksham, Salem, Viney all training in footy boots.. That's a sign that they are close to playing. 11 Quote

DeeSpencer 26,675 Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 (edited) Theory...Tommy Mac’s marking is all wrong. His fingers are pointing up too much and he needs to wrap them around the ball more and let the ball come deeper towards his thumbs. YesitwasaWin4theAges 6,819 Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 Going from the pictures, Big Ben trained in sneakers, might not be ready to train in boots. Doesn’t look like he joined in the main session. Could be wrong just my observation. Quote

So true but as Richmond has shown, forward pressure is created by a number of willing participants. They don't even have to be that good - Richmond's small forwards are all pretty average but they have a number of them that are willing to play the role. I'm pumped for round one and I'm hoping - for the first time in recent memory - we choose three small forwards. Edited March 15, 2021 by Cheesy D. Pun 1 Quote
