Is your opinion more significant than the media muppet's that started this BS. Yes, because I'm assuming you barrack for the Dees.

You've had your opinion, I agree with Praha, close this thread "move along, nothing to see here"

Wrong, there’s plenty of discussion about this topic.

Its not about believing muppets either but purely a relevant topic being currently discussed in the media.

It doesn’t mean I think it will happen

Some just feel the need to post an opinion on everything they read or hear. You watch, some Muppet will be compelled to have a go at me for that comment.

Some feel the need to put people down for simply sharing information to a Demon chat forum believing they are holier than thou.

Change it to Perth Stadium would suit me better.

One of the things I want to do before I die is watch Melbourne beat West Coast at Perth Stadium in a final. A prelim would be ideal, but anything to scrub the memory of $1,000 down the drain in 2018 off my soul.

I think Marvel can still accommodate all Dees fans who want to go, if not then I wouldn’t be in favor.

As a gesture of goodwill to the competition I don’t think it’s a bad idea (I mean it doesn’t cost us much) but my concern is then that it won’t be reciprocated. We got stitched last year with our trips to Cairns and overall itinerary so I would expect favorable treatment if/when fixtures are rescheduled or hubs are needed this season.

A gesture of goodwill? You have to be joking.

I will be beyond [censored] off if this game is moved.

No other club got as badly treated as us last year with the fixture. Some of that was plain bad luck (eg the Eagles game - though, even that is marginal - they should have postponed that game) but most were shafted.

As a gesture of goodwill we should play all 23 games at the g.

Yeah to be brutally honest our record at Marvel is miles better than the MCG in recent years and we play the venue so much better. I just didn't want to upset the MCG loving fans who hate attending Marvel.

Can't deny facts BBP but there's no place like the G!!!

I'm really hopeful about the training out at Casey having an impact on our performances at the G.

I thought there was some evidence of that today at the game. I thought both wingers kept their width and provided plenty of space and options going forward.

We hen you have all day to think about it our structure held up well save for some very average flying all together By the defence in the second quarter.

Pretty good effort all round with us getting true value from Maxy a standout but Trac and Clarry were great users each time they got their hands on the ball.

Defence was also solid with Maysie in 2020 form and Jake Looked like the2017 interceptor from Crows that we chased after.

Forwards were honest and Hard working with Chandler a revelation being in the right place at the right time.

Very  promising season start with a genuine trade mark feel that the performance was built on a sound  Football base.

Kane Cornes, Andy Maher and Rob Murphy

Imagine being stuck in a room with these three for a few hours.  A fate worse than death.

Cornes I understand, he’s a pure grifter, but why the hate from Andy and Bob. I listen to them most evenings and don’t find them too bad. Not my favorites by any means but I certainly don’t have the visceral gut reaction I have every time Mark Robinson opens his mouth. I turned against Gerald Whatley as well because of his guilt by association with Robbo.

I wasn’t joking Binman

I’m all for give a little to get a little. It greases the wheels. If moving the game meant we got a concession down the track such as switching an away trip from inter-state to the G (for example switch the Eagles game to the G this year, I mean the WA govt are going to be painful to deal for the AFL) I would consider it. Or we give up this game for an additional 2 extra games at the G later in the season?

I wouldn’t give up a G game for no benefit but expecting all games at the G is probably a bit too ambitious ?

If McGowan imposes these absurd restrictions, just play the season either without WCE and Freo at all, or with them “hubbed” somewhere east.
If that became public before the election he may change his tune.

Be pretty damn annoye

I'll be damn annoyed if McGowan ends up high jacking the season.

Make Freo quarantine at home for X amount of days but let them out for training. Anyone that transgresses gets a 6 week suspension and/or a $20,000 fine. Simples.

McGowan is sitting on a record-high 83% approval rating.

Don't expect too much change in strategy from over there.

A lot of noise in the media to swap our game to Marvel so the two Victorian teams can get more numbers to the G

I assume by 'media' you mean the Herald Sun and Newscorp outlets flogging papers.

MCC won't stand for it, and nor should they and/or the club.

This is what the AFL should be doing. Parting a shot across his bow. Mcgowan is an arrogant [censored] so they do this before the election he will be able squirm out of it and still keep his popularity. That is make an exception for traveling sports people or get em vaccinated.

None of this will happen though and we will be the ones holding the stick of dynamite.

TBH we will make a loss or just break even on the Freo game given a crowd of say 30k at most with all the extra staff needed for covid.

If the club were paid say a million to swap it wouldn't be a bad idea

You don't need that much extra staff because your ticket has all the Seat details on it and you are not supposed to wander around eating or socialising once you have got your food.

There are a small no if Covid officials who politely ask you to go to your seats.

I have seen this play out in Brisbane all last year at AFL and this year at the cricket. Yes if 50,000 are ticketed then more staff are needed but That would  happen any way

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out
