Amazed that the Treloar deal didn't get done.

It’s done to the dogs

Looks like Caldwell and Cameron made it, but Treloar and Dunkley didn't.

So glad the Dogs held on to Dunkley.  Still has two years to run on his deal and the Bombers were arrogant enough to just offer one first round pick.  Dogs stuck to their guns and they've now got two years to turn things around, which they are more than capable of doing.

There was absolutely no way the pies and Treloar could have gone on next year

Wow, so the Dogs' midfield next year will be Botempelli, Macrae, Hunter, Smith, Libba, Dunkley and Treloar.

That is...insane.

Plus Stefan Martin in the ruck to actually be a ruckman (improving on English).

Apparently it did get done?

I’m sure the AFL stepped in with Treloar, the CBA allows for grievances to be lodged but it sounds messy especially when so public.

Well if we lose Oliver next year we'll be knocking on their door to land Dunkley.

Dogs North and Hawthorn have taken advantage of the pies fire sale. Good on them. We’re done well overall, I’m not complaining but I can’t help feeling that’s we’ve missed a trick. Phillips for 65 was cheap as chips and he filled such an obvious need.

Man Dunkley won’t be happy. And he’ll have even less midfield time now. Ouch

I don’t know but I would guess the 500K for Phillips was the issue. Hawks have to pay the min cap but it would put us out of whack

I wonder if it could have been us snatching Treloar at the death if we'd been able to offload Tom. Oh well, they say everything happens for a reason.

Wonder if we can snare pick 13 from GWS for 19+28

Go in with 13 and 18

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
