Personal view : I think Buckley was right in asking just what outcome is HL looking for? If he could state that then everyone involved could progress towards that outcome and then move on, hopefully all happy.

Man... sharing selected snippets of audio you have secretly recorded from a conversation the other party thinks is private. It sounds like bits have been cut out too so it's hard to know exactly how the conversation really went.

Dog act.

It's hardly a smoking gun either.

It would seem that Buckley doesn't mind the conversation being revealed.

Whichever way you might lean on this issue (and I'm keeping an open mind), I hope we can all agree that it is a good thing if it causes turmoil and trouble at Collingwood.

yeah, i do

they could at the very least report what's happened without giving any opinions

I am reminded of the Randolph Hearse saying. News is something that someone else doesn't want you to know. The rest is unpaid advertising.

Listening to the audio snippets - it sounds to me like Bucks is trying to diffuse the situation and is no way in the wrong.

Harry certainly had the right to be upset with Eddie over the King Kong gaffe and everything else.

So it seems like Bucks was attempting to diffuse the situation and protect the club a bit - probably the right thing to do as opposed to throwing the baby out with the bathwater which is what Harry seems to think should have happened

A messy situation they have themselves in.

No problems at all! It’s just that you’re wrong.

No weight at all is placed on how long it takes to bring a claim in a Court, other than if you miss the limitation period

In this instance all facts were asked to be tabled as late as 2021 and on numerous occasions in prior years.. so that mediation could commence both at AFL with Legal Counsel and also at C'wood - which they botched anyway . Buckley even acknowledges now that exact point to Harry yesterday. It is a legal practice in all cases that all facts are brought to the table before a case moves forward in litigation. I feel that Harry may have some mental or personal issues in the handling of this matter, he seems also  to be lacking the backup support for his well being in this matter which is sad. Bringing up supposed "facts" after the event is not accepted in a Court of Law where that could be construed to be "double jeopardy" in a Trial.

The "Do better report" only inflamed the fire in his belly and I agree he had the right to defend himself again from any comments made "from the other side - being Collingwood" but he needs to come to peace with a process, rightly or wrongly and move forward knowing that in his heart he has settled a grievance. There can be no winners only heartache.

Mediation would seem to be now the only solution and sensible path ahead. If this was in fact a failed marriage, that is how it would proceed and a Judge would order it so.

It appears to me that Harry wants revenge, mediation is not in his mind. He wants to bring down the CFC. Nothing else will satisfy him. The way it looks to me is he will take this to the grave with him. I feel sad for him that he cannot move on.

On who/what?

He helped bring down Eddie.  Buckley is no longer there.  CFC discredited and still in the doldrums.  Not sure there is much more he can do that will damage them further.  Sue them?  Then do it and be done with it.

Buckley would be well served to ignore the provocations and not respond.  No winners on social media t-t for tat posts.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
