Best of luck to all three and congratulations for making it onto an AFL list. That in itself is no mean feat.

A few  statistics that may be of interest is that the median number of games for all players in 19 and that only a third of drafted players ever play 50 games.

Only one in six make it to a hundred games.

For these reasons I would hate to see the AFL skimp on career and transition counselling for all players in these hard times.

Interesting and sobering stats. The majority don’t make it so let’s be nice and not use terms like spuds and duds.

Otherwise you can apply these derogatory terms to most of us.

Thought we would keep Kyle Dunkley. He wasn't given much of an opportunity. A bit of a shame he was delisted. Will probably join his brother at the Bulldogs as others have mentioned.

Would of delisted Toby Bedford and Oscar McDonald before him.

The Wagner brothers were clearly not up to it. So no surprises they were delisted.

I assume, possibly incorrectly, that some others might have some trade value. After trading is complete, I could see some more delistings.

I also suspect Jones will retire. Hopefully that's the language used rather than "not offered a contract" or "delisted", although the effect on our list would be the same. Similarly, even though he is apparently contracted for one more year, I wouldn't be surprised if Jetta also retires.

Jones should retire. Last year he looked ordinary and this year he's looked really slow. But it's decision making that is a worry. He thinks that he still can do all the things he used to be able to do, but can't. It's either a rookie spot and maybe get to 300 or leave gracefully. Although I think he'd need a push. He's already said he wants to go on so watch this space.

Wonder if we’re considering using him in a playing coach role to save spending under footy dept cap? Neat way to have an additional coach whilst potentially getting him to 300.

Mr Werribee, JACK WATTS just retired , he has another year on his contract with P.A. Contracts can be altered if the two parties agree i.e Jetta and MFC.  If the Dees decide that Jetta was only going to get limited senior games , he may decide to jump ship early.

Oscar Mcdonald surely won't get another contract

Depends if he is a goody fav or not.

If he is then another 3-5yr extension is on the cards !

Played seven games this year so I’d suggest he isn’t. I reckon Tomlinson will take OMac’s position and we’ll look for another wingman.

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
