Trac's Last Goal

Kane Cornes rediscovered his inner [censored] and declared Trac's final, crucial goal touched.

I normally approach score reviews with trepidation but I had no doubt last night we were OK on that one. The goal umpire was right on the spot.

Anyone agree with KC?

Am I paranoid thinking he just wants to have a dig against us?

No, KC is  just trolling - typical click bait analysis.   I doubt half the time he agrees with what he says.  If it had been overturned given the goal umpire was standing right there and called it a goal - now that would be  a real controversy.  I haven't seen any evidence that it was touched before the line.

Goal umpire was in the perfect position to make call that ball was touched after crossing the goal line, so can't see the controversy.

Maybe if they had of awarded Trac the mark, he could have roosted it home in a manner that no one could get their hands near it. ?

Tom Morris and Kane cornes are the only flogs that had anything to say on the matter. They are just chasing more ****ty headlines. They should be talking about the play, CP took a mark (another one not paid) and beat 3 saints defenders on his own in amazing display of strength.

Hope it was touched, makes it even sweeter.
Even if it was a point, Trac would’ve intercepted the kick in and kicked a goal anyway.

Kane Cornes looks like chewed bubblegum.

Clearly touched after the line. Umpire in perfect position.

As you say - " perfect position"

as opposed to Kane - sitting on the couch 2000km away with only 2 useless camera angles, neither of which was remotely useful.

I don't mind Cornes but this time he's a spud. " Gee, how can I get people talking about me today and remain relevant to my new-found media career?"

I’m surprised this is generating any ongoing discussion.

The umpire was in the perfect position and called it a goal. The footage I saw suggested it was touched after the line too (from two different angles), despite it not being absolutely perfect goal line footage.

Why is there any controversy about this?

The only touched controversy with this goal should be whether it was touched before Trac marked the ball.

 Clear mark in my book.

Goes back and kicks a regular goal.

The fact that Saints supporters and others like Cornes are upset only makes me hope it was touched before the line.

Pay back for all the other crappy decisions and non decisions that have not gone our way in my Footy lifetime.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
