Definitely annoyed. Possibly even annoyance awareness.

Low grade annoyance?

Tightness sin his annoyance?

My diagnosis is a mild case of exasperation.

Grumpy Gary Baker avatar tells me he will be fine to play.

And that is is his constant state

If Preuss is injured but Gawn is fit, I guess Gawn can just about cover the loss of Preuss...

Anyone know if Austin Bradtke played in the scratch match vs Pies?

I believe he has been playing but I can’t see them playing him

Is that a metaphysical riddle?

The Dees ruckman, who played his first game of the season last weekend, is expected to recover in time for the clash with the Western Bulldogs, but will be monitored throughout the next few days.

Max Gawn is also set to face a fitness test in the lead up to Round 13, hoping to return from a knee injury.

Scans later today for Braydon Preuss. A “tweak” of hip/groin according to club. Not ruled out just yet, but he didn’t look happy.
Dees positive on Gawn progress after big running session. @9NewsMelb

Doesn't sound like it is wrist slashing time!
If nothing else it will keep bulldogs guessing.

sounds like something a pre game injection should fix if necessary

Not sure having no ruck is such a bad thing for this Saturday. Forecast up here is for 45k winds Saturday. It will be worse than a wet day with ball on ground most of time.

Yep.  The winds started here around lunch time, and are forecast to get stronger each day from now until Saturday, when they are forecast to be the strongest all year!  Just got my tickets.  Might have to take an anchor to hold me to my seat!

i hate wind games......hope the forecast is wrong

I reckon, if Gawn, Preuss, and Tim English are out of the game, Dees and The Bullies should nominate Daniel and Spargo as the ruckmen

Seems odd to me, the fuss made about Collingwood's 4 games in 14 days.

It was also our fourth game in 16 days and fifth game in 20 days.

And the fact that Geelong flogged St Kilda on a Monday and backed it up with another flogging over Port on the Friday.

Geelong has ruined that excuse for everyone now.

Mitch Brown, come on down!

Can't play ruck or key position forward if they were to use Tommy. Brown is a very tall HFF.

Have to remember that Hannan wasn’t dropped, he was out due to illness

He was good against North and I think he’ll return for Sparrow or possibly Kozzy

Jon Ralph indicated he would've been dropped regardless of being ill.

We finally start to get on a roll and lose all our rucks.  We are the Shakespearean tragedy that never ends.

Let’s hope it’s much ado about nothing

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
