Surely a Bedford couldn't do worse.

But it really is like switching witches hats at the moment.  We don't really have anyone better than ANB in the magoos right now.

but could he play whatever ahem role Brayshaw is currently not playing very well?

Tracc has had two times he should have kicked for goal from 55, went for the pass and stuffed both up.
He’s had 7 touches and I know he’s not on his own, but Dusty he ain’t.

He's been quiet these last couple of games.

One of my daughters, a keen Harry Potter fan, reckons the umps are under the Imperius Curse. A few Snape-like Crows fans with wands in the crowd, shouting ‘imperio’! As good a theory as any.

Adelaide are absolute puss. They are easily the poorest team in the competition right now and we’re just fluffing around  with it. If we don’t come out with some killer instinct in the second half and put this game to bed, this game and season is dead.

Yep, we have the players to just run right through these soft clowns but they just aren't really interested.

I expect no likes ...because most of you guys would be happy for the big H to fail.

Not me

I'm not happy to see any Melbourne player fail.

However, the bloke looks very, very timid tonight.  He needs to lift the urgency and contribute more.

Brayshaw is like the kid who's old man drags to play footy and he's picking the daisy's from the grass.

Doesn't give a phark.

Yeah the umpiring sucks.

But let's talk about us.

We suck more.

We're barely up in CPs and down in clearances to the 0-9 basket case whose biggest weakness is their midfield.

Gawn isn't dominating hit outs, so maybe that's impacted our ability to get on top in the middle. Who knows.

I can't stand vandenBerg's OTT faux aggression. His free reversal is inexcusable.

ANB and Bennell are giving us nothing, and without Hannan and Pickett we have no forward 50 pressure.

And WHY is Brayshaw playing? 4 touches, spending time on the bench. I just don't get it. What is the point?

I think most on here could play the role Gus is playing right now.  I'd be a chance of getting four touches to half time.

How's this for a number:

11 of our 'players" have had less than 5 disposals.

Bennell 1.

Are they actually doing any training while in these hubs? Or is it all golf and surfing? Skills are deplorable.

I’d argue less.

We're seeing two bottom 3 or 4 teams tonight. It is depressing how terrible we've become.

Crowns have 9 changes and multiple first gamers. Mind you we have an almost pristine injury list. This is the worst Crows side in their history and comfortably the weakest list in the league atm.

And yet we are staring down the barrel of a loss.

Unforgivable.

Yeah, "Dermie what would you.do facing this young fella Jackson in the ruck right now. Well I'd lead with the knee and make him earn it."

True, but at least I won't have to watch that [censored] Ben Brown do it.  I couldn't handle that.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
