I imagine memberships for all clubs will be greatly impacted if people cant actually go to games. Bad timing in the peak membership buying time.

"Consideration of postponing matches or ordering them to be played spectator free is understood to be balancing concern that gatherings indoors to watch sport on television in pubs could be more hazardous for the spread of the virus than crowds outdoors. There are also concerns on safety and policing grounds if fans were to gather in large numbers outside closed stadiums while matches are being played."

Would be nice to close boo stadium for our 1st match umpires wouldn’t know what to do 

Like all others, players are also at risk of infection.

They can play in an empty stadium, but they are at risk. One infected player in a team and the team/club is in trouble based on current protocols. 

Gill needs to worry.

I’d be hoping that all clubs have regular testing. And I’m sure players will be under strict instructions regarding their comings and goings away from the club. I also imagine teams will be bussed into the grounds to avoid close contact with the public and the players’ race will probably have an exclusion zone so supporters can’t get close... particularly those ferals that have a penchant for spitting on players.

I'm sure most of that will be taking place in some form, in prisons they put welding masks on those prisoners who have a penchant for spitting maybe the security guards could be trained to identify likely spitters and mask them.

If all clubs training sessions become closed as part of preventive measures does it mean we finally get to train on the G? 

I reckon the worst part about this virus is being put in lockdown if you have small children. 
 

Forget stocking up on toilet paper, I’m going to go stock up on copious amounts of wine.

True but I'd imagine they would be capable of testing all players and staff who are/will be entering the ground.

Yes that’s true but based on current practice if a player or support staff  member tests positive all those who have been in contact with the player (rest of team?) would need to self isolate for 2 weeks. Think of handballing, use of equipment etc ( any surface).

Don't want to start a new thread, but have just heard from a source that one of our players is in quarantine....

just bought a large fireproof combination steel safe

now i can sleep at night knowing my bog rolls are safe and secure

I think we need to be careful about this sort of information but quarantine implies has the virus (which is unlikely) whilst a lot of people are self isolating if they have any flu or cold like symptoms. No doubt any player with a cough or sniffle will be asked to stay away from the group for now.
