I don't understand the Kent Kingsley reference.  Anyone?

Probably the easiest way to understand it Fanatique is imagining how Adelaide supporters felt when Alex Neal-Bullen had 23 possessions, 6 marks, 6 tackles, 3 goals and 3 Brownlow votes against them in 2018.

How about Tim Membrey, Mr 5 straight, v the Dees every game he plays

Or Kennedy could do a Joe Daniher and kick 0.6.

Just saying...

That would be so good to see for once, as opposed to us blowing great chances against them!

Of course bringing up Daniher I’ll never forget when he was missing stupid about of shots and then kicked something stupid like 7.1 against us!

That’s disappointing but you ain’t missing 8 weeks with a busted cheek bone.

The consolation is he might be a little rusty which could work in our favour.

Consolation?  Watch out. There are posters who would prefer him to be at the peak of his ability and doubly fired by having been injured.

A tap on the rusty bit by one of our great '...interceptors...' might make all the difference in the game outcome. Mind you, the green snot goblins will award a free kick - so therefore, it will be a sacrificial one but should take him out of the game. We need absolute 'mongrel' in the 2020  season, no more Mr Niceguy this season.

West coast have been very poor this pre season. 54 points against freo in perfect conditions isn’t good form.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the dees got up

Unfortunately the eagles are 1 of only a few sides where pre season form I wouldn’t take much notice of, they are capable of flicking the switch come round 1, we will have to play out of our skins to beat them hopefully it’s not too hot

Just need Oscar to accidently fall on top of him again

We need Cameron or Greene from the Giants for that.

Those Demonlanders who want a West Coast at nearly full strength look like getting their wish.

Personally I hope it is not a very hot day over there.

Really??? I guess when west coast beat geelong by 35 and freo by 50 points last year the results didn’t matter.

Since the pre season comp has been cut to 2 games, form has become a critical indicator on teams season performance.

something isn’t right with the eagles. They had a full strength side and only scored 50 points.

I really hope your right with them being off, would be nice to knock them off

Does anyone know if we sent any scouts across to watch the WC V Freo game?

You've had a warmer summer back in Melbourne Red,

The Eagles have had a bit if an interupted pre season.

Iur boys look fit at the moment and I think the heat may help us

In terms of preseason we've put ourselves in as good of a position to really challenge them as possible. I'm glad we've got this game round 1 in some respects. It's probably the most unpredictable round with teams still sorting game plans and personel. Plus the fatigue factor late in the game which we look to be in decent stead for. It will be hot and both teams will fatigue late so I think if one team has a 3-4 goal lead in the fourth qtr. it will be theirs to win you would think.

I'm predicting a close one! (because why not?)

I agree, my first thoughts when I saw it was that the AFL have stitched us up, but we’ve been sent there with 6 day turnarounds. At least this way we have time to prepare for it and finalists are traditionally a little bit sluggish early.

Scoreboard pressure early in the game massive for us though.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
