In good company GWS and Lions also on the rise!

How have Adelaide and Geelong played one game less than the other teams? Was there an abandoned match in there somewhere?

Edit: Googled it, match in 2015 was abandoned following the death of Phil Walsh.

What a totally disgraceful decade. (So were the previous 40 years before  that....)
will we now improve as a Club?

Or slip back to being exceptionally mediocre....

If we ran a ladder from the 70's through to now I'm guessing we would be holding the thing up at the bottom.

Fairly sure Fitzroy would be propping us up...

Maybe not if Brisbane is included...

The old Fitzroy team was pretty good before they hit the skids and had to fold.

After we build our training base venture and social club.  I reckon things will change around this club, and the club itself,  for the better.

A lasting change.  Not a seasonal,  'strength of list'  type change,  but one of Identity.  Our Identity.    The sense of belonging.

We have to improve on field before any of what you mentioned ever gets built.

Hardly surprising but still depressing to look at. Surely the 20's can be our decade, our fans deserve it!!! ?

A new decade comes, new beginning. God I'd love nothing more to see that ladder flipped so the Cats, Hawks, and Swans fans can experience our depression! (Cat's fans especially)

The decade does not finish until the end of next year, so we still have time to improve our ranking!

No obviously 2020 starts the 20's !!!

2000 strayed the new millennium !

Its not like leap year or anything else simple and uncomplicated!

2000 was the last year of the previous millennium.   It was the 2000th year.  The new millennium started in 2001.

Why do you think Federation occurred on 1st January 1901?

Think of it like your birthday.  You don't turn 21 (for example) until the end of your 21st year, or year 21.  You then commence year 22, your 22nd year, at the end of which you will turn 22.

2021 will be the start of a new decade.

Federation is just the date at the time a year later than the start of the  milinium.

Because people mistakenly thought it was the start of a new millennium because it was the year 2000.

You're still making the same mistake.

I'll dumb it down for you.  The first decade is years 1 to 10.  The second decade is years 11 to 20.  The third decade is years 21 to 30.

The first century is years 1 to 100.  The second century is years 101 to 200.  And so forth.

The first millennium is years 1 to 1000.  The second millennium is years 1001 to 2000.  Etc, etc.

There is no year zero.  The first year is year one.  The hundredth year is year 100.  The thousand year is year 1000.

If you still have doubt, Google it.

I think mediocrity is about right for the last few years. It's the first half of the decade where we could just dream of reaching the heady heights of mediocrity.

Sometimes waiting to strike Lasiter's, is just waiting too long.

Sometimes going into hock to get it done, is the way to get there sooner.

Like so many off the other clubs have done.  If we get into trouble, let the other clubs and league bail us out.

Mate you dumbed that down so far even I could get it.

This country is getting dumber by the year.

Good luck teaching idiots

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
