In good companyย GWS and Lions also on the rise!

What a totally disgraceful decade. (So were the previous 40 years before ย that....)
will we now improve as a Club?

Or slip back to being exceptionally mediocre....

mediocrity would probably be described by most as a dramatic improvement on our present status

Oh yes. We have gone below Subterranean, i am aware of that.ย

If we ran a ladder from the 70's through to now I'm guessing we would be holding the thing up at the bottom.

Fairly sure Fitzroy would be propping us up...ย

And there are still many posters here that insist the elephant in the room is really a moose.

Maybe not if Brisbane is included...

The old Fitzroy team was pretty good before they hit the skids and had to fold.

After we build our training base venture and social club.ย  I reckon things will change around this club, and the club itself,ย  for the better.

A lasting change.ย  Not a seasonal,ย  'strength of list'ย  type change,ย  but one of Identity.ย  Our Identity.ย ย ย  The sense of belonging.

We have to improve on field before any of what you mentioned ever gets built.ย
momentum will breed momentum...

Hardly surprising but still depressing to look at. Surely the 20's can be our decade, our fans deserve it!!!ย ?

A new decade comes, new beginning. God I'd love nothing more to see that ladder flipped so the Cats, Hawks, and Swans fans can experience our depression! (Cat's fans especially)

The decade does notย finish untilย the end of next year, so we still have time to improve our ranking!

Go Deeโ€™s

No obviously 2020 starts the 20's !!!

2000 strayed the new millennium !

Its not like leap year or anything else simple and uncomplicated!

ย

2000 was the last year of the previous millennium.ย  ย Itย was the 2000th year.ย  The new millennium started in 2001.ย ย

Why do you think Federation occurred on 1st January 1901?

Think of it like your birthday.ย  You don't turn 21 (for example) until the end of your 21st year, or year 21.ย  You then commence year 22, your 22nd year, at the end of which you will turn 22.

2021 will beย the start of a new decade.

Youโ€™re only as good as your last season.ย

Edit: Scratch that, Iโ€™ll take third worst over a decade.ย

Federation is just theย date at the time a year later than the start of the ย milinium.

Because people mistakenly thought it was the start of a new millennium because it was the year 2000.ย

You're still making the same mistake.

I'll dumb it down for you.ย  The first decade is years 1 to 10.ย  The second decade is years 11 to 20.ย  The third decade is years 21 to 30.

The first century is years 1 to 100.ย  The second century is years 101 to 200.ย  And so forth.

The first millennium is years 1 to 1000.ย  The second millennium is years 1001 to 2000.ย  Etc, etc.

There is no year zero.ย  The first year is year one.ย  The hundredth year is year 100.ย  The thousand year is year 1000.

If you still have doubt, Google it.

I think mediocrity is about right for the last few years. It's the first half of the decade where we could just dream of reaching the heady heights of mediocrity.

Sometimes waiting to strike Lasiter's, is just waiting too long.

Sometimes going into hock to get it done, is the way to get there sooner.

Like so many off the other clubs have done.ย  If we get into trouble, let the other clubs and league bail us out.ย ย

Mate you dumbed that down so far even I could get it.

This country is getting dumber by the year.

Good luck teaching idiots

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
