Loving Fritter in the forward line, because he's a forward.

It's crazy I know, but it works.

Oh, incorrect disposal. Is that even a rule?

I think the answer to that question is like the answer to most questions of this sort, “only when it benefits the team not in red and blue”

We are doing well aside from maggot infestation. Good to see players hitting up targets rather than bombing inside 50. Big question is can we not fall away in the last quarter as we have done last three rounds?

We need a royal commission into the umpires

This must run deep to match fixing and corporate $$$’s for tv rights and other media

Max's head ripped off....Play on. FMD.

Putting both hands on Max's ears and trying to grip his head. Where in the rules is that an infringement????

And even up the umpiring and we are a very good team again.

Unbelievable umpiring so far!

Preuss looks like a liability out there in general play. Sooo slow.

Good pressure by the dees and, as mistake ridden as it is, I like the style better when we’re focused on attacking like this.n

If I hear Ling talk about the "corridor" one more time, I will throw my Funk and Wagnall's at his head.

Brereton showing us no respect on Fox Footy, Implying he was on his phone for much of the first half. We cop it from all sides and sit and take it.

It's all very clear to me now.

We need cows grazing on the G through the week, and extra dung beetles brought in to boost numbers.

That will reduce the fly population, and, ergo, fewer maggots.

Love that a Tigers player drags the ball 20 metres from goal and the umpire yells out ‘already on the ground when he grabbed’. Where was that rule 2 weeks ago? That rule is far too unevenly applied.

In general umpires decisions are purely based on perception of who is the better player/club.

Easily our best half of footy for the year given the quality of the Opp.

Yep. I think we'll lose and it's just our mad skillz that are letting us down.

Just great to finally see forward entries and shots at goal now working more effectively.

Rawlings?

It's such a confidence thing and I'm sure we'll lose that and the wind will go out of our sails.

Geez I love Frosty. He's been such an ordinary player that has just kept working on his game.

We'll really miss Jetta and May in the end.

Heard an umpire say that Ra Richmond player wasn't holding the ball because he was already on the ground. Where was that rule for Gawn a few weeks ago?

The inconsistency in umpiring is a disgrace, and the AFL only have themselves to blame.

Great half! Maxxy looked possessed out there!

Trac, Fritter, Frosty - awesome stuff! Some of those runs by Frosty sent shivers down my spine. I'll take Frost ball any day of the week.

I know we've turned it over a bit, and there are still lots of problems with basic skills, but I love that we're trying different things. Fewer long bombs, actual direction, they're thinking, and trying. Much better. These are some of the things we can build from.

What have we done in the last 30-50 years ... he’s played against & saw the rabble we have been & apart from 2 gf which we lost to him by 96points we continue to unravel & can’t sustain success. You need to earn respect by winning something not pretending!

Sadly HQ encourages it.

It's called, let's make it up as we go along, because we cannot be criticized.

the cricket umpires look good compared to this mob

12 to 4 frees tigs way

It was 3 to 2 dees way when we kicked the first 3.

Says a lot. We are a very dirty team

Brereton. How that 2L gets a tv gig is beyond me. Punch drunk FW.

brereton is a drunken buffoon

gotta say, ecstatic with our effort - again, it's our execution letting us down

tigers are missing, what, three players from best 22? all top tenners in rance, nank, and cotchin, but still...we're playing with the likes of corey wagner and kennedy harris for us, plus children like baker and dunkley!

trac outstanding thru midfield - can he keep it up?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

The Dees are back at the MCG on Thursday for the annual blockbuster ANZAC Eve game against the Tigers. Can the Demons win back to back games for the first time since Rounds 17 & 18 last season? Who comes in and who goes out?
