The thing that I hate is that there seems to be no connection between the players, do something good, handball or kick and then stuff it up.

AFL app stats saying Viney out for the game.

If it’s concussion again our medicos should all pack up and head off now

well that all turned to [censored], viney, brayshaw, oliver 21 possessions combined. what's going on?

Yes. In spite of all our other shortcomings, this is where it's falling apart. Their midfield is well on top, so we have little drive.

trac does so much good stuff and then just won't do the basic and KICK THE FLAMIN' GOAL!!

Disagree. Hes got the smarts but execution always problematic. Will be a B grader at best for career.

In the warm  up he just tried smart alec round the corner shots. Missed all of them

I query if he's serios immature or just dumb. Maybe all 3

If we dont address the forward line flop we are toast again in 2020.  Takes pressure off defenders/mids allowing them to recover a little and set up behind the ball meaning a more effective wall/press and more repeat entries.

and that's what worries me about this game and the last 3 or 4.... not much reason for hope in 2020 with this gameplan

Oliver can’t handle a tag and he’s clueless as a forward.

Cripps has quickly overtaken him unfortunately.

Our basket case side is 3 points up. How is this possible ? Improve by a couple of % and we might win. The saints are no good either.

That’s an error. Been saying that since the start of the game. They haven’t edited the previous weeks stats properly.

Oliver was tracking at the same level for age. Never been better than him surely?

Salems always been overrated.

Rubbish. Probably 2nd in our B & F atm.

Our most reliable kick is having a mare.

Yep. Can't wait for the circle (rhymes with) work to begin. How [censored] good are we!!!

Brayshaw, Viney, Oliver and Jones all having ordinary games. I'm actually starting to cringe when Jones is about to kick the footy. I know his foot skills have never been fantastic but they are horrid tonight. Does Brayshaw even look interested?

A contant revolving door lineup does that to you. e.g. the forward line we have out there looks nothing like the one we had just a month ago.

Also due to injuries and having to play fringe players, including in key positions.

Jones is rated as one of our best kicks this year. Don't know if that says he's harshly done by or shows how terrible our other players are.

I am waiting for the 6 day break with travel to kick in. Maybe it has already.

Looking for positives Frost a plus so far. Except for 2 brain fades he has been dynamic in a very pedestrian team effort so far.

Lever has been excellent.

that's a coaching issue... and let's face it.. our guy ain't top drawer

No it's not. It's for Oliver to work out how to overcome it. Goodwin can't get in his brain and tell him how to shake off a tagger. Oliver isn't the first player to get tagged and he won't be the last. Good players work there way through it.

On Frost you get the good the bad and the ugly with him.

Lever continuing to improve too, and have liked Corey Wagner's intent.

You need another player to be free'd up to pick up the slack, And then the opposition has to make a decision. We lack another elite midfielder.

Here comes M-M-M-M-M-embrey!

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
