Nooooooooooo way.

He is very good just as he is. Not a forward at all

Tried that. Lets work with what he's good at

It's been tried before, but that was awhile ago wasn't it? Frost has gone up a few tiers since then. I reckon chucking him forward to see what happens is a great idea given the season is dead. The remaining games this year should be used to tinker with changes exactly like this.

Having said that, I'd send May forward before Frost.

Binman do we actually know if Gawn will return or are we all just hoping? Also what are the injuries to Hore and Petty? I thought Petty played a lot better this week before he was injured or was that just my wishful thinking?

Just hoping. Hore broken collar bone so 2-3 out and petty was concurred so will be test you'd assume. I agree petty played well. Reads the ball well and takes a nice mark. I really like the look of him

I'd love to  see frosty given a run on the wing where his pace and attacking bent  could be real weapon and his horrible short kicks not so much a risk of an imneciate goal to the opposition.

Why risk Gawn this week? Unless he’s 100% fit and his ankle is feeling as good as pre injury, I would rest him for another week. We are not exactly knocking on the door of success this year and he is one guy who we can’t afford to stuff around with.

In fact if it was not going to get us in trouble, I would send everyone for their post season ops and clean outs now. Play the kids from Casey and who have shown a bit, and move onto 2020. Won’t happen though.

Cannot wait to see what disastrous injuries await us this week ?

Watching Melbourne is hard enough as it is without Frost getting more opportunities to kick the ball.

I want to see Salem on a wing. He can kick and he isn’t totally slow. I get we haven’t had a single run of a fully fit backline yet, but with Lever and Jetta most likely back this week and Jones playing well at half back, I would love to see Salem get the rest of the year to play wing. To me it is his natural position.

Frost is finally playing some consistent footy so please leave him down back.

he is a great athlete but not the most natural footballer.  so the least amount of decision making the better.  win ball and run that way - works.

the wing or up fwd does not work

if we were to try anyone up fwd it would be May but I would leave him back also.  Weed, Smith, Trac, Preuss is plenty

I assume you mean he was concussed, hopefully not long term  as I was thinking yesterday he was starting to adapt to the tempo of AFL.

I want to see T.Smith and the Weid in the forward line. Im a bit bullish about the bull.

I really like that idea. Our forward delivery is terrible anyway, might as well give frosty a license to break the line and attempt running goals from the 50. He has the journey, I'd bet he'd nail a few of em.

Jetts will come in. Lever in. So that probably covers hore and petty.

Gawn obviously comes in. Maybe they will play him and preuss as alternating full forwards. But probably smith plays at full forward.

Hore is a big loss. A real shame as he has been our most consistent defender.

*(cough)...Salem.

Although, to be technically correct, Josh Wagner and Oscar McDonald have perhaps been the most consistent...just not consistently good.

Salem has been our best, for sure. And by some margin. But has had a couple of games where he was off his game.

Hore has played well every game I reckon.

Frost forward

Frost and May, The Odd Couple, worked well in tandem this week and the longer Frostie stays near May, the better he will be as a defender. Don't rush him into the forward line which has been tried and  proved fruitless more than once before.

The Doggies are a fast, young side and with the game at Marvel I'd be disappointed if we didn't add some extra speed and that means either JKH or Baker should come in and JKH has been superb in VFL for two weeks so deserves his shot.

Assuming both Lewis and Viney avoid suspension, then it should be just the three changes, although Weid should be sent back to VFL if Smith is fit again, as he needs to rebuild his confidence.

Out: T.Mac, Hore, Petty, Weid?

In: Gawn, Lever, JKH, T.Smith?

C'mon Jaded, lighten up dear. There'll be no disastrous injuries this week for the dees. We've copped our share. And anyway Maxie  just said he'll be right to go on the weekend. That's good enough for me.

ANB must come out.  He was dreadful.  His kicking in goal was a folly - outside of the boot when a drop punt would work, round the corner kick when not needed.  Poor in general play (got in everyone’s way in contests).  He might run a long way, but he was a liability.  JKH in for him at least

Hannan is too soft and doesn;t get the ball enough.  Smith is better especially when he is the 3rd tall which he will be if we play Preuss and Gawn.

So Lever for Hore, Gawn for T Mac and Smith for Hannan.   If Petty still concussed then either J wagner or Oscar.   Jetta needs another week.

I have been a long time supporter of ANB over the last few  years mainly based on his work rate.

He is now a serial misser of goals and as you say gets in the way. He collided many times with his  own players on Sunday. Bring in JKH ( Cant believe I said that)

Yeah ANB does seem to get in the way and fluff his disposals a lot. It's frustrating. I would give him 1 more chance this week but i cant really see him being part of our long term plans for us in the future if he cant fix those issues in his game. We need to be better as a team at separation and skills if we want to improve, and he isn't really helping much in those departments.

He can work out on fixing those deficits at Casey while JFK gets rewarded for hard work

Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
