Not sure why my intial thread got taken down but, so I'll keep this simple.

Probably one of the worst AFL players going around and its time we see the last of this potato.

With May coming in next week i expect tonight we'll be the last we'll see him in a red and blue jumper.. ever!

I’ve seen worse defenders play for Melbourne.........actually no I haven’t.

I don’t like player bashing but he is the definition of a liability.

Some of his defensive efforts on Jenkins were woeful.

Yeah I agree. Nothing personally against him, probably a great guy but just not cut out for a key defensive position.

And just to think he has played what over 50 games??? Hnmm reason why MFC are no closer to success than in 64!!

Putrid player!

Had 2.3 kicked on him, yes that was the difference, NOT.

I have been an Oscar supporter god knows why ,, probably because of his whipping boy status. but tonight showed he is not up to it. I suspect the club had always known hence the lever and may recruitments

2 1/2 years of poor substandard footy

2017 he was “developing” and we had to be patient

2018 he was hidden by our excellent form

2019 slow weak turnover beaten

But they still kept playing him.....

Spargo would have been better and that is saying a LOT!

Out bodied every time he's in a contest.

Seriously??? And play who? May was coming back from injury, lever, hore and petty were out. Plus at least he didn't turn the ball over every time he had it out of defence. He was no where near the reason we lost tonight, 1.8 in the last and stupid decisions going forward were

He can take JKH and Wagner with him too.

And Goodwin should join him.

Zero passion for the backbone of the club, us fans. Full of lame excuses but won’t get a bloody kicking coach!

Honestly, I don't see the point in throwing more trash at him, he has been in only because of injuries to both of our first-choice key defenders. When May and Lever return, and with the development of Hore, return of Smith, and even the impending prospect of Petty overtaking him, Oscar's time and role at the club is in a twilight.

Railing against his presence in our best 22 is about as sensible as railing against the continuing of season 2019. We know the situation, we know it will end, we know there will be a new dawn.

Might as well as least let some peace flow in the meantime. Don't cling to bitterness.

Ryan Ferguson no 2

Ferguson was WAY better

He is contracted until the end of season 2020 so unless a trade partner can be found he will be around next season.

At this point I'd almost throw him forward in the vfl and see how he goes. He played some junior footy forward so it wouldn't hurt to see if he can help our forward depth in 2020. We can rule out the backline for him as a suitable place to play.

CLEARLY didnt not watch tonights game. he is a spud and will be making his way out for Steven May.

There is nothing tonight that justify any sense of support whatsoever. He was pathetic.

If May and Lever can stay on the park when they return, O Mac played his last game for the MFC tonight.

He's a far better golfer than a footballer

Does no one else see that this is the obvious solution?

"DON'T  CLING TO BITTERNESS??

WHY THE PFUUG NOT ?????

After after nearly 55 Years in the wilderness Im not bitter

I'M FRIGGEN ANGRY AT WHY WE ARE STILL PATHETHIC!

Aren't You??

Cant get off the ground, and useless when the ball hits the deck.

Yeah nah.

This post made more sense when it showed i was replying to the suggestion that Oscar played second ruck.

Oscar might make a good 2nd ruckman...

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
