Our game plan works if everyone is on. Unfortunately with the pre season we have had and injuries endured that was never going to happen.

I dare say we will see it in a game/s before the end of the year and we will literally [censored] someone.

Spot on.

Just watched him play against collingwood.

21 disposals 3 goals 5 tackles and 6 clearances.

Hugely impressed by his game today and if he keeps playing like that he will play senior footy very soon.

yeah he was good wasn't he. he just looks one of those players who seems to do everything right.

By all account s he played a cracker for Casey today.

Hope he can, at an appropriate time, take the next step.

Well done.

So is he actually Andrew Dunkley's father (or perhaps grandfather) and not his son?

Wordsworth's poem has always confused me but this may be the explanation?

My Heart Leaps Up When I Behold - William Wordsworth (1802)

My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
And I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety.

Ah, Mono you have restored my faith in Demonland, poetry and class. Thank you.

dieter, I had anticipated that Hemmingway would have beaten me to the punch.

The commentators were saying he was the steal of the draft.  Others were recycled, trimmed from other lists.  Kyle is a fresh up and comer.

No offence to the Dunkley, but the old man sounds like a over possessive Fl og

Fancy giving your kids a serve and then demand them to go do a beep test because you didn't perform on game day.

What a [censored]

Didn't he have a sook about Roosy forcing him into retirement because he was already 34 and was in and out of the 2s?

I have to say I had similar thoughts.

My son play rep basketball tonIf it. If he he plays crap I might him do a beep test when we get home at 11. Unlike Andrew though I won't join in

i wonder where he’ll play and what position? take baker’s spot i guess?

How neat is that?!  The coach doesn't tell Kyle directly, but does it via his brother!!  That's nice!  (Just a pity we're not playing the Doggies this weekend!)  Will he maybe come in as Smith's replacement?

Gotta be happy with this.

In a season that has been an absolute tragedy for MFC, this is a genuine highlight.

I really like how the club got his brother to tell him he is playing his first senior match. Even better for that fact his brother plays for another club. Family is everything, and this warms the heart.

For once, well done MFC, well bloody done.

No pressure Kyle, but i expect a rising star nomination this round.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

    It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

    A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
