O'Mac punched it through... probably the right thing according to the commentators

Omac didn't punch it through. He was flying for the mark but a dark haired casey player punched it through. Can't remember the name.

Spargo no goals and wasted kicking. He has a long way to go.

Unlike him - usually it’s the other way around with very few possessions but good decision making. Probably lacking confidence. Still think he will be ok long term. He needs to develop some upper body strength to be able to stick tackles

Doesn’t sound like the right thing to do given the scores and the time. But sounds very OMac

have doubts on Petty, not sure he is quick enough (pace and decision making)

Maybe Petty is just still thinking his way thru footy... and not yet playing on instinct.  Lets give him time.

Oscar is the one who needs his finger surgically removed from an orifice...  someone give him a rattle,  so he can move along to its beat.

Sparrows performance was pleasing to read about. Seems to be a likely inclusion for Viney next week.

Was hoping to read a bit about Sparrow’s game in the VFL match report. Nothing on him, not even named in the best.

Saw Sparrow was an emergency for the Richmond game which suggests he’s still in the coach’s mind for a call-up.  Seems a likely inclusion at this point.

Maybe he can be put in the forward line to add a bit of pressure

Yeah- would have to be a half forward role.

Petracca to the midfield for Viney, Sparrow to half-forward for Petracca.

Kielty WILL play VS Hawks, Mark it down.

Chance Oscar replaces him but I hope not - think we need potential of someone taking grabs up forward or going back. Could both come in to replace Weid but unlikely. Really need Smith, VB, May, Lever back and I think Baker will play in 2-3. So annoyed we put smith back on field to make groin worse he was PRIMED for marking fwd pressure dual role!!!

Kielty, Sparrow in for Viney & Weideman.

Thats the risk you take.  You dont rush a behind with scores level that late in the game.

Yes you do as it gives you clean possession and the chance to move it 70 metres toward goal with one kick

Although it’s not really ‘we’. It’s a VFL team.

Think it’s we to most of us

Preuss will come in for Weid. Keilty has done very little, only 10 touches he doesn't get the ball enough. ANB is injured too isn't he Corey will come in for him.

I would wait on baker. No pre season remember.

Didn't really look the goods before he was injured..

How the hell could you tell that about bedford yet.

As a junior he didn't get a lot of the ball and was not a goal kicker.

At his size he has to do more than just tackle, run fast...and get a couple of kicks

He's following a similar path to another couple of kids that have been on the list, Dom Barry & Dion Johnstone. They looked ok but couldn't find enough of the ball.

So...just a feeling I have. Hope I'm proved wrong...

Why are we drafting these types, small forwards who don’t kick goals and don’t have too many tricks, that is X factor?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
