I don’t have the energy to pick 6 but I would have Frost in if I did.

Anyone who can find 6 good players probably were lucky enough to find an unguarded  case of beer by the 10 min mark!

But to put up 6 names I'll go with:

Frost

Pruess

Brayshaw

Jones

Jetta

Melskam

But this is really about who did something good rather than who played well

Our bottom 9 were worse than their bottom 9 by a long shot..................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6. Gus - Our best mid by a mile today

5. Frosty - Our best back by a mile today

4. Salem - Continues his good form.

3. Viney - Fought like hell while being held without the ball, roughed up and generally scragged at every opportunity.

2. Oliver - Got a lot of the ball.  Tackled hard.  Set up that opening goal with a pass that was pure [censored].

1. Preuss - He's doing what we need him to do, providing a tall target forward and rucking a bit.  Even put in a few nice tackles.

Put myself through the replay last night to check if my eyes weren't deceiving me and came up with following.

6 Salem - Our only defender who regularly laid a tackle.

5 Brayshaw - our only midfielder with the confidence to go forward - unlike Clayton who looks as if he is in fear of being tackled and flicks it off sideways/backwards nearly every time.

4 Frost - The critics won't like it but there were no major howlers and he worked really hard on Bruce (two marks).

3 Petracca - Yes he made mistakes, but he was our only lively forward all day and the only one who looked dangerous even if he ballsed it up on occasions.

2 Hore - Plenty of intercepts and in general safe with his kicking.

1 Viney - Huge first half trying to lift the guys.

Preuss had some memorable moments early but faded again and big Max spanked Marshall, but the stat that worries me was just 11 pressure points.

Frost was our best tonight

Interestingly... players with  "some"  speed.

4 Frost - The critics won't like it but there were no major howlers and he worked really hard on Bruce (two marks). - - -  has some speed, - has a go

3 Petracca - Yes he made mistakes, but he was our only lively forward all day and the only one who looked dangerous even if he ballsed it up on occasions. - only player who has had some Acid applied to him over Pre - season

2 Hore - Plenty of intercepts and in general safe with his kicking. - a player worth watching, to see how he goes

1 Viney - Huge first half trying to lift the guys. - playing under duress

Preuss had some memorable moments early but faded again and big Max spanked Marshall, but the stat that worries me was just 11 pressure points. - gives some hope... but needs to do a lot of 2019 in-season, away from club distance running... to work his engine overtime.  He needs to be  MUCH  fitter for 2020.

slow is out Now with 666.  unless they have special skills.

Tom Mc and the Weid  zero points after 5 games, yet  huge no of inside 50’s in a number of our games. Don’t get how they couldn’t have 1 point with nearly a quarter of the season gone. Something fishy going on. TMac injured? Weid already got at?

Mention to Fritsch. In a backline that is almost always on red alert he uses it every single time.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
