Lockhart and Wagners showing a bit which is al least something

Wagners not in system long enough to know what not to do maybe !! Still have a little footy smarts .

They aren't the answer though.

This just seems like 2007 all over again. Such a disappointment after such a great season. What happened

Yep, its tough at the moment..

Ahh yes…Goody's paddock. Empty our backline so the forwards from the opposite can do whatever they want. Not quite Pagan's paddock but it's a gameplan I guess?

How was that not holding the ball to petracca, then nibbler gets dragged down never taking possession

Awwww TMac ankle..

McDonald ankle. This would be a disaster if our season weren't already a disaster anyway. 1 disaster + 1 disaster = 1 disaster. So there's that.

Definitely both frees unrewarded.

We have the worst fullback/centre half back combo in the league history

Fixed :)

Oscar is a [censored] spud! Amazing how he has already played 60 AFL games...

Does our backline have a clue?

It’s funny you say that, I made a comment back in 2017 I think it was that Hunt showed an X factor that we were missing and that it was probably because he hadn’t had time to learn to conform to a plan rather just trusted his instinct. He’s lost that now it seems. Fritch seems to be the same, not a shadow of himself from last year. Will probs be the same with these young blokes.

No other way to say it we just have too many substandard players on the park. Kk, wagners, frost, Omac.

McDonald injury just will provide another excuse

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!
