Eagles won flag without Nik Nat and Gaff, let’s see how the Tigers go.

Who knows, could be an event that bonds them even tighter and becomes their rallying cry...Vive Le Prance’.

Since you enjoy hypotheticals so much, here's one:

Bloke that ate those punches sexually assaults a women in the crowd. Her husband, wearing a filthy Richmond guernsey, remonstrates.

Whats wrong with understanding the full narrative before forming an opinion on something?

You dodged my question on how he is not family? Thats not the way to respond and its now totally off topic. Cant be bothered. Ban em.

Houlli, really like him as a player, this past week would have been a very hard one.

I think even more so than Martin Houli is the catalyst to the Tigers free wheeling and dangerous entries into the forward 50.

I mean who is he ever on?? Just plays that rebounding defender and seems to be totally unaccounted. I can't for the life of me see why a coach just wouldn't put a stopper on him and see how Richmond go without his rebound!

I'll say it again, hypotheticals don't outrage me. The bloke was just fine afterwards, no need to cry for his family over what could have happened because it didn't. The fact he insisted police make no further inquiries suggests to me he may have provoked it and as always, the short video filmed on a phone captures 20% of the incident and none of the context. Facts are all I'm interested before I form an opinion on something and call for witches to be burned at the stake, that's actually all I'm trying to say here. Take it or leave it mate.

On to tonites game the 2 most despicable clubs are playing each other. Maybe better if geelong win coz then they will think their shizen doesn't stink and we can belt them next week. Won't happen though.

I would be happy if they belt the crap out of each other in a nil all draw.  We should get a bead on the cats and any new things they are up to in preparation for next week.

Attack begins at Half Back. Houlli plays that role to perfection

he was all over the ground in the first quarter last night

Puts a hole in the tigers tilt and opens the door a little wider.

hate to see players injured etc etc...

I must be a bad person because this news does not make me the least bit sad.

Probably wouldn't dislike him so much if it wasn't for the OTT media groveling whenever his name is mentioned.

Nothing happened to anyone's family, a few blokes had a dust up and called it a day as far as I can tell. Context is key. How do you know who started that? I'm not condoning the behavior, I just dont like the idea of crucifying people before all the facts are known.

I'll save my outrage for situations that aren't hypothetical in any case.

Nothing hypothetical, it's a fact. The Richmond fan punched the guy to the ground and then stood over him and continued smashing him while he looked to be unresonsive. Then turned and started punching into other people. Absolutely lost control. If there was more before the footage which he thought was wrong, he should have called for security.

Stop condoning violence, Smokey.

I see where you are coming from but I think you are wide of the mark on this. Regardless of the circumstances that led to this the Richmond guy lays into a defenceless guy lying on the ground.

He deserves to go for major assault charges. And if the victim won't press charges the police should.

Pies and tigers now $6

us and eagles at $7 for the flag

eagles at $7 is great odds imo they won’t lose at home so should finish top 2

And here's the full narrative by an eye witness. Doubt you'll be pleased with it.

I reckon its bad........He said initial signs not good....players all going to him after the game. Looked a lot like Levers.

Feel for any player with that injury.

Not exactly the way any player would like to "celebrate" their 200th game!  Gotta feel for the guy, no matter what you may think of him as a player.

Darcy Parish left out by the Bummers. Thank God for Clayton Oliver

Paul Roos worked that 2015 draft superbly making Swans bid high for Callum Mills then choosing Oliver over Parish.

Roos is the gift that keeps giving, 8 years later.

Amen to that.

Jamie Elliott gets the Pies first after a long time out of the game. He will be a strong addition for them this year.

Gotta love Ablett playing forward. No longer does the mercurial and exerts zero pressure.

Gotta be his last year

The new rules have really made it a high scoring affair. I’ve barely had time to breathe with all these goals...

I can’t believe there’s that much space at the G without advertising on it.

Must admit it is so far a better game than last night. Much more pressure.

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.
