Neitz the Great 557 Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Tall athletic former pick 6? From a few years ago that has signalled his intentions to come home to vic. Regarded as highly skilled outside mid with a bit of height on him, just hasn’t found his go at the GC (no one has). Could be interesting to see how he goes and could compliment us. 1 Quote
Wells 11 5,503 Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 hmmm...if he hasnt been able to even get a game at GC this year , in his second year in the system, Id be thinking he's probably a bust Quote
Roger Mellie 4,205 Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 194cm skinny outside midfielder* Screams Cale Morton to me. *Never seen him play 2 1 Quote
layzie 34,528 Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 I don't mind him and am not sure why he's found it so hard to get a game. Good left footer, feel like the Blues would be into him. 1 Quote
Dee-licious 1,954 Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Reports are that he wants to go to Hawthorn. Quote

Mt. Dee-Maaan 608 Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 heard cal twomey ask the GC list manager about him on the Road to the Draft podcast.. sounds like he just hasn't found his groove up there. the language used indicated a pass for me. he might get a gig somewhere, but not melbourne or hawthorn! Earl Hood 6,167 Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 I went to Swinburne Institute of Technology in the 70’s studying engineering and there was a Scrimshaw there who had played a few games with Hawthorn or Richmond. Can’t recall his first name but wonder is Jack a son or nephew? Quote

The exact reason I don't think draft picks alone would be good value for Hogan - the draft can be an absolute lottery. Quote
Jibroni 5,058 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Hawks just picked him up for a future 3rd, bargain buying buy the Hawks. Quote

Smacks of the Hawks mentioning to scrimmshaw, "Just bide your time in the NEAFL, play like a busted and we will come and get you in 2 years on the cheap". No wonder they are never going to bottom out with the feeder clubs dishing talent out like this. Quote

This is a pure punt...he played like a busted because he just might be one in football terms. The Hawks don't always get it right, add the other Garlett to the mix...they get plenty wrong and now are punting harder to stay in the race as the Cats have done recently. 1 Quote

Axis of Bob 11,945 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 (edited) He appeared to have a lot of talent from what I saw of him. I hope a change of scenery works out well for him. Gold Coast would be a tough place to stay out your career. Edited October 16, 2018 by Axis of Bob Quote
DeeSpencer 26,691 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 The biggest stitch up was that he was contracted for 2 more years at 400k and the Suns were keen to get out of the contract. First year was pretty solid. Looks like a guy who checked out last year Quote
