Oh please, oh please. Tell me Saty is taking over his job.

In all fairness, Burgo at times got the rough end of the pineapple. He was the PR face of the club for the years we were being embarrassed on a weekly basis. Working at the club stopped him from asking the difficult questions and as such he was like our Baghdad Bob (the propaganda minister, not the Demonland poster). You knew what he was pitching softballs at his interviewees but  he still had to put food on the table.

Though I must say I genuinely did fear for his safety during those interviews with Neeldy. I thought he was going to knock him out, starve him in a hole then make a suit out of his skin at times.

It's a shame to see him go.

I always enjoyed his enthusiasm and professional attitude. Even after a loss, it was obvious it cut him deep.

Thanks for the years Burgs.

Appreciate his efforts at the club over the years. As passionate about the club as any going around. All the best and here's hoping the Butrgatron Phantom Draft makes a long awaited return.

Someone should interview him with non-questions about his time at the club. He took a page out of the Mark Stevens book on interviewing, making statements and expecting the interviewee to drive the conversation.

He was not functioning as a journalist, it is a PR position to be fair.

No big loss to the club but best of luck elsewhere???

Not sure about that. The media who cover AFL regularly claim that the best two clubs for the media to deal with are Melbourne and North Melbourne. That's an important job, particularly for clubs with low prime time free-to-air coverage. I don't know if that was Burgo's role, but if it were, he may well be a big loss unless his replacement ensures that the club retains that status.

Imagine being he guy that had to try and put a positive spin on things during the Neeld years.

He deserves to be knighted.   All the best Burgs.

I enjoyed your work Burgs, and good luck with what lays ahead.

......... and to anyone who enjoys putting the boot in, I'd like to see them run captivating interviews and newsy stories week, after week, after week, during the gloom and doom that that our Club endured for most of Burgo's time with us.

A fine effort by Burgo to see us through the tough times. One fine Melbourne day we will look back on his fine performance and realise just how fine it was.

(Thanks Burgs)

Didn't know personally but saw the outcomes of his efforts. Thankless task always done professionally and with genuine emotion and interest of those that I saw. Displayed passion that I hope is real and he can continue his allegiance. Having endured the lows it would be great if he also enjoyed the future highs.

wish him well and hope that the time at the Demons has added to his skills experience and helped him progress in work and life.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
