Did he tweet what the Lions will get back?

According to Tom Browne on 7 news an hour ago Beams will officially request a trade to the Pies tomorrow.

Fagan was shocked to hear the news on Friday and 48 hours later a deal is done?

Pick 18 and a future pick, didn’t say what the future pick was.

Beams gets 18 votes in the Brownlow this year, and potentially gets traded for pick 18. Neale gets 11 and Freo want 5. What am I missing here?

Brisbane don't have Peter bell..end.

Beams will be 29 when the season starts.

Neale will be 25.

Ceiling is higher for Neale atm you would think. Beams has probably peaked.

Contracts mean nothing. Have a listen to Beams B&F Speech. What a complete joke.

Chris Fagan must be quietly shattered. His big job just got a lot tougher.

So here is my quandry; the Jesse for May + second round pick aside (effectively what we end up with if that deal goes through) means that we have let a load of ordinary players go off our list and done a swap for another (Preuss).  We received a late pick back for Kent and other than that we are looking at a load of other high later round picks that we already had.

How do we go about trading up the players we have let go with this amount of collateral.  The maths does not add up.

I trust the FD, but concur with the sentiment here.

I keep hearing from people that we're a destination club. May and KK are clearly up for it. Have we got a few others up our sleeve and if so, how do we plan to acquire them?

Our Depth needs to be strengthened without a doubt, so you would think Tales and co would have some trade specials up their sleeves.

I wonder if they gave Beams the tick of approval to leave knowing Neale was on the way to them..

I'd imagine Neale would be slight $hitty as it's one less top ender in the midfield group...

Mmm, if the rumours are true that May had a look at WB...which is his right of course, doesn't really feel as though his heart is with what Melbourne can offer, aside from his back pocket.

He needs a backup plan, he’s been left hanging all week due to Freo and doesn’t want to be at suns. If we can’t get him then he has the next best option

My favourite part is that Brownlow votes have a direct correlation on every players trade value.

Better cash in on Angus brayshaw while he’s worth 3 first rounders

I've had the feeling the whole time there might be a 2nd big name alongside May if the Hogan deal got what we wanted, but it's only gut feel.

The reality might well be that the pick 60's in the Kent and Preuss trades are set for some late swaps once we get our salary cap situation under control with the big name deals.

If not there's been a recent history of players being delisted who would've been traded for next to nothing when the clubs couldn't get the deals done before deadline.

Fremantle chasing Coniglio.

Apparently they offered pick 98 and want a first rounder in return.☺️
