End of last year he was away with Gawn, Harmes etc

Allegations from that trip went awfully quiet.

That was my first thought when I asked Chook who he was worried about slandering.

Well, if I am picking up what @Chook in Perth is putting down, then my questions around why the club is so ready to move on from Hogan have been answered...

Yes, some can read the tea leaves.

So no further news today, and Jesse is reportedly enjoying himself in Bali. Either it's been done behind closed doors out of the public eye, or he's stuffing both clubs around. The fact he toured Freo's facilities shows his lack of commitment to us, and for that reason I think it's best we try to move him on and get the best deal possible.

Where did they go?

Everybody relax.

When Ethan feels like revealing the truth he will.

Until then it's all speculation.

I don’t think posters can handle the truth.

Don't start telling them this Red....they all think the circus is real. Well it is real...it's a real circus lol

It's a bit like impromptu theatre. Most has already been sorted or situated....just needs the paperwork ;)

Most people enjoy the illusion though.

Don’t think that’s quite accurate, B’bub.

There’s circus and theatre but a very real negotiation underway. Still an outside possibility Hogan stays. Mahoney isn’t bluffing.

The foot issue thing is clearly bogus.

Terry Wallace today on Trade Radio said he was reading between the tea leaves... ?‍♂️

Whatever turns you on Terry. Just don't spew on them.

No shortage of irony in a few prominent posters claiming to now by ‘reading the tea leaves’ either having no clue that this was going to happen a few weeks ago, or adamant that it would never happen while they remained above ground.

Talk about run with the foxes and hunt with the hounds!

All fun though. Human nature to want to come out crowing.

Hoges went to Bali last year with Maxy, Kent and Harmes... That photo is an oldie from a pre season camp if i'm correct.

The double century what an innings

I'm fairly concerned about Frost getting badly sunburnt.

It could  make him permanently deaf.

I hope so we need a decision from Hoges pronto!

Summary of the points re Hogan:

  • Dockers cooling partly because of Lobb's arrival and partly the Demons are demanding two early first-round picks.
  • the spearhead's recovery from a navicular injury among the pressing issues it has to address.
  • There is still a chance Hogan could remain at Melbourne, but it appears far more likely he will be in the Dockers' purple and white next season.
  • Hogan is unlikely to officially request a trade to Fremantle in the next day or so, but it's understood progress is being made behind the scenes that is inching him closer to that point.
  • But, as they consider such a blockbuster trade, the Dockers won't be rushed.

My read is he will be a Docker next year but we wait a few days to hear an official trade request.

As an aside, in case anyone missed it @Mach5reported in the AVB thread that we may trade him and 2nd/3rd round picks to Sydney for pick 12.   Could come in very handy in a trade to GCS so we can break the nexus between the Hogan and May deal.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
