If anyone has come to the conclusion that Jordan Lewis is to blame for this then you need some serious psychotropic medication.

Although it is an expedient thing to have a whipping boy.

Another possible interpretation?

He’s having a shocker and he’s not on his own

This is a very seasoned west coast side. 12 of them played in a GF. They have done their time. This is part of us doing ours.

Much like the Pies last night all the bounces just seem to be going WC’s way. It’s the factor that you can never control.

Could be a dangerous last quarter for Meth Coast.  They just want to preserve themselves.

The game is gone, but I just really want us to physically hurt these FCKERS.  On the context of modern football history, I hate West Coast much, much more than I do Collingwood.

That was a free to Smith in the goal square ....clearly pushed in the back after he kicked the goal.

Brayshaw sums it up....

We've bullocked our way through teams without a lot of polish, but turn up the heat and we sorely lack outside speed and clean hands

We must recruit this in

The most graceful thing Lewis could do would be to just King hit Nicholls and walk off.

Could cost us the game.

Nathan Jones and Lewis absolutely horrendous today. Jones 8 touches in 3 quarters (again goes missing) and Lewis has been so dumb it is alarming. Gawn 6 touches, Tyson and Milkshake 8 each, Weid and Frost way out of depth

At least they haven’t extended their lead. I’ll take that at this point.

Bounce of the ball is the least of our worries. We were smashed around the ball in the first half, fumbled, tackled with our arms instead of with the body...an all round diabolical half of football.

To the melbourne fans that flew to perth well done on braving it out. My god I could not imagine how bad it would be for you all.

West Coast better bring the same intensity and pressure next week or I else I will be annoyed.

They just look so much bigger when they have Darling and Kennedy up there.

Just not our day but at least we managed to kick some goals.

I would enjoy giving that fat [censored] McGovern a bigger corkie.

Also Darling could use an accident smack to the head.

At least we have added 66 games of finals experience to our squad.

Totally agree been in the comp for two minutes and have been perennially successful. To see their supporters swanning around like they are on vacation make me pewk. I guess it what we deserve but they know how to rub it in.

Thanks for trotting out the meaningless cliche, but by definition, luck is literally the bounce of the ball, being the thing I was referring to. Or do you think Darling’s skill ‘made’ that bounce?

Exactly. It’s still been a very good and very productive season. Bring on 2019! ??

You just could not expect that we would completely capitulate at every contest, every clearance, every forward entry, every defensive mark, every... thing, basically. It's almost farcical how much has gone wrong today.

Just had WCE fans snatch my scarf, wipe it on his arsz and throw it at me. Laughs all round.

I look normal sized sitting down but 198 cm & 110 kg. Sigh......I'm gonna have to hurt him.

Reminds me of the disastrous GF against Essendon

Who was it retiring and went out with a bang?

It is pretty heinous.

The aftermath of today will be crucial. The Club has to be tough on this. This preformance cannot be repeated.

We know what happens when it does

Tough, yes, but also it needs to be a considered approach. By all means the point needs to be made that today’s performance is not worthy of a PF for a spot in the GF, but there needs to be constructive learnings come out of this to help us progress further, as opposed to overwhelming the playing group as a result of a day where we were overwhelmed, that would see us go backwards.

its a bad end to a positive season, with 2 enjoyable finals wins, but the playing group need to attack pre-season with a hunger for more finals wins.

Shows how important top 4 is.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
