Nah because if we lost to collingbog in the Gf, I could never live that down.

I was thinking that if we beat the Eagles, then either the QB game or the Anzac Eve game is the GF replay next year ... should be bigger than ever!

I think Richmond will win, and purely from a selfish perspective, that's the way I'd prefer it to go.  My rationale:

  • I 'dees-pies' Collingwood so much that the thought of them playing off in a Grand Final makes me want to puke;  and
  • if we happened to play Collingwood in the Grand Final, Grundy has the capacity to reduce the influence of our major trump card in big Max, making a win more difficult for us.

It hurts me to say it, but I want a Richmond win tomorrow night.  Maybe by a big margin, so they drink a tub full of their own bathwater before facing a rampant Dees outfit.

Me too.

Richmond have not faced anything like us this season (or last season), playing the way we are playing now.

We've seen all the other teams trying various tactics to beat them, whereas we would be right up in their face, attacking their strength and playing them at their own game. Fire vs Fire stuff. I'd be fascinating to see who comes out on top.

I also salivate at the prospect of Viney/Harmes vs Martin.

First however, West Coast...

I would be very surprised if Collingwood were to win against Richmond on their showing against GWS. The intensity of their game last week was a few notches below that of the night before and they will need to lift to match it with Richmond.

Agree. I was at the Pies/GWS game last week and IMHO I thought we would have definitely beaten the Pies had we been playing them.

Got this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach that the filth might cause a massive upset here...

I’d love to play the pies in a grand final. How good would it be watching Eddie sob as chunk and goody lift the cup

Just don’t think Pies are capable of scoring enough to challenge the Tigers

Tigers are a high scoring club, as are we

Should be a cracking game

They seemed to score quite freely against us on Queens Birthday...

going to be a rugby scrum of a game.  if pies keep the intensity up all game, 60 points could win it.

Really looking forward to tonights game.

I hope they hit each other real hard and force this game into a triple OT.

Frost didn't play that day. Any game Melbourne played at the G this year without frost  is irrelevant.

Astbury a chance to miss.  he has been quarentined with illness

may all 44 players contract the virus!  ?

No doubt that Mason Cox holds the key in the sense that the Pies just seem to lack goal kickers.

Was going to run a thread as to who was the better VFA pick up between Brody Mihocek and Bayley Fritsch but the air went out of that balloon.

The MCG should be renamed Boganville for tonight.

HEY! I'll be there bringing at least a modicum of taste to the MCC (and relieving a Filth or Tuggers fan of a seat).

Tomorrow, Perth. Sunday, VFL...

To be honest if we win tmrw I don't care who we play in a grand final. I just hate the filth so I hope the tigers bog all over em.

Can't bear the thought of C'wood in the GF. No, they must not get there. Even for the chance of beating them.

C'wood and Tiges to belt the living sh*t out of each other and the least worst team to limp into a GF thrashing at the hands of the MIGHTY DEMONS

All this revolves around the big “if” at 3.20 tomorrow. If the dream continues tomorrow, I simply don’t care who we play - payback to either - ANZAC Eve or Queens B’Day - take your pick!

As for the game, Richmond by 47

I’m going for the Pies. I think we would have a better chance of knocking them off next week than the Tigers should we progress beyond tomorrow.

I also have an intense dislike for Rance and his sooky behaviour.

Conflicted. Want to face collingwood in the grand final, but if we lose to west coast its the two clubs I personally hate most in the final..

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
