IIIFFFF we make next week, I want to beat the Pies, I might be dead of a heart attack though, and for sure suffering every stress related condition ever. As a 3rd generation Demon, my hatred of the Pies is marrow deep, a hundred years of loathing. Collingwood has found another gear, running like we do, will be a ding dong context. I would like to see Rance get smashed by Viney though... in fact I wouldn't mind seeing him smashed tonight as well.

We definitely want Richmond to win. We are far more easily matched with them and if Pies win tonight they will win the flag. Collingwood aren't getting the respect they deserve.

Warning.  Don’t play injured players, even “ superstars “.

My dad, who was not without a clue about footy, always said you need a Ruckman in a Grand Final  - would GAWN/GRUNDY be the best big man duel ever in a Grand Final????

Wowee.

I expect that angry boy Dimma to give the tiggies a serve.  They need to tighten up and look for better entry into 50.  Filth moving it too easy and getting way too many marks.  Time or tiger smash, or they are gone.

Wow Richmond have been made to look very second rate. Very few players showing any poise or calm in the face of ferocious pressure from the Pies.

Absolute credit to the Pies as well, their pressure has been immense. Now we get to see what the Tigers are really made of.

Pretty stunned. That is huge. Richmond not dealing with being beaten at their own game too well.

Seriously torn about this one. Can’t handle either one winning tonight. I’m changing over to the Storm game for a while.

Listening (why?) to the commentary I know I understand why they spend so much time talking about their past glories, who they know, what they know and boosting each other.  When they comment on the game what they say bears little resemblance to what is actually happening.

With Degoey and Treloar both in they look super dangerous and should win this one.

Collingwood playing their GF game right now. This will take a massive amount out of them if they can win.

Now remembering how Cox destroyed us.

Did not see this coming at all. Trip to Perth followed by a 6 day break, figured it would finally be curtains for the Pies.

Do not want them to win at all. Worse, I think they are far more likely to beat either us or West Coast in a GF than Richmond are.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
