Do they still do Eagle rock or was that a Subiaco thing?

Looks like it... :(

Should I start crossing the Nullabor now.

We've been there ..done that

Press 'repeat' ;)

Still only one win for the Filth vs a top 8 side all year, and that was us.

Why'd we cop that narrative all season and they escape?

If the Pies roll the Giants next week, Richmond v Collingwood in week 3 will be a huge match. Very glad that only one of those two teams can make the GF now.

Also, one of us, Hawthorn or West Coast will make the Grand Final now. So we have a 33% chance of being in the GF. :)

Have to give credit to West Coast, they were one down on the bench from early on but ran over the top of Collingwood.

Collingwood still only have one win against a finalist. I don't rate them and on the shorter break against an in-form GWS, watch out.

Meanwhile an MCG prelim would have been nice but we've already beaten WC once this year and the trips on the road this year have brought us together. They're beatable too, I think.

Crikey. What to make of that. After quarter time, Eagles decided to play from behind, fumble and dispose terribly. Only got it back in last 10 mins. But it was all worth it to see Eddie going off his nut.

It would be pretty great to belt that out after a big win!

The WC won it with their crumbling, always collecting the loose balls at the base of packs.  We're very strong in that area as our boys know run hard.  The worry is Kennedy, but the only game practice he can get is an intra club.  But first we need to put the hawks out.

Eagles wont be like last time i dont think...

kennedy is badly underdone. we can hold him and match the eagles' in the contest.

Collingwood's great hope for glory was to win tonight.

GWS will love nothing more than to give the Pies a touch up, which they're well capable of doing.

Sadly it's goodbye Maggies

It’s crazy how so many in the media were giving it to us about it and so many who were giving to us picked Collingwood to beat West Coast tonight.

WCE were terrible for a large part of the game. We can take them

Yep, another awful thought. One of Collingwood or Hawthorn guaranteed to make the Grand Final if we were to lose. Get me a vomit bag!

Much funnier imagining West Coast being shat on by Richmond from a great height without the home-ground umpiring to get them home.

Yeah I can live with that.

Collingwood have been screwed. Sat night game, red eye back to Melb for a 6 day break before Sat.

And the problem with that is?

Hate the filth.

10 minutes ago I got questioned for not supporting Collingwood and now for being too sympathetic, rough night! ?

Seriously contemplating a nice road trip accross the wonderful Nullabor.

Time to dust off the trusty Google maps

If your able to swing by Adelaide I’d be happy to come along. Have a 7 seater as well ?

Flights to Perth from Melbourne through the roof already.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
