agreed if we canr beat a team with 2 men down we dont deserve it. Were choking Atm.

Need to get Oliver into the game.

Up there with one of the worst quarters of the year I reckon.

Poor kicking is poor football.

Our inaccuracy and the Swans doing it for Alex Johnson will be our downfall today.

We can’t beat anyone in the 8. Flat track bullies

Mentally weak team. Even if we somehow make finals, we will get smacked.

Pathetic ball use and pathetic goal kicking. Game killers.

Its just not our day.

Tom McDonald is out of form kicking wise.

He missed some a few weeks ago and you could just tell he had lost his magic touch.

Not confident at all. Can see us getting plenty of inside 50’s and being either inefficient with entries or kicking badly.

Swans by 16 is my gut feeling.

Bump

TMac’s kicking has been off for weeks now. Needs to find his range ASAP. We’re having shots in gettable spots, should be 4 goals up.

Knew we’d lose this. Hard to watch all the misses

Woeful qtr.

ANB might aswell just put on a swans jumper, 4 kicks went straight down their throat. Absolute liability.

Love Vanders but Melksham will be back in straight away.

Whats happened to Tommy?

Wheres Jones?

Classic Demonland ET.

So you think we can with is? Sydney are tearing us apart ATM

gawn dominating the taps but a lot of them are going to Sydney players

About time Jones stood up when we need him. Constantly goes missing when the heat is on.

Ffs this Tyson bashing is getting ridiculous. He's been our best player

No they are not, we’re just kicking behinds. Stats also suggest we’re ahead

Tmac needs to find his kicking Bootsonline again. His set shots have been pathetic the past 3-4 weeks now. Missing directly in front from 20-30 meters out is unforgivable.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
