Not for me, either. Almost a risk if taken seriously.

He'd be better than Vince on a HBF, but at 31 we could do better.

Sign immediately: Brayshaw, Jetta, Oscar, Harmes

Probably stay: T Smith, Balic

Could go either way: Kent, Keilty, Wagner, Vanders, Flippers, King, Johnstone, McKenna

Probably go: Bugg, Vince, JKH, Pedersen

As far as contracted players: Frost, Stretch and Tyson the three most likely to seek trades I would've thought, unsure there will be much interest for any of them. And we might want to investigate moving Garlett.

A year ago I would say you are mad.  Yet JGs form has detiorated such that its possible.  If so any club will be his 3rd.

Not often a 4th.

Probable delist - mckenna Vandenburg johnstone  Filipivic (r) Bugg

possible trade - Kent JKH

question marks - vince (retirement) garlett (consistency) Tyson (disposal efficiency)

a question, IF,,,  Dylan Shiel or Josh Kelly wanted out of GWS, to come back to Victoria.?

What would you be prepared to trade, to get one of them to the Dees, for 2019 ?

Petracca

Sign up now on Jetta and Harmes.

JKH is a delisting, Brayshaw a delisting or trade if you can get one for him, as we saw with Jack Watts clubs are not lining up to sign guys with zero aggression and that cant lay a tackle and Brayshaw is really another Watts without the foot skills.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Vandenberg when he returns, he was going alright when up and running.

No aggression. There is a reason he wears a helmet during the game.

Huh?  I smell troll.

Angus has been our best midfielder in games, and a strong contributor since his return.

wears a helmet because he went in too hard

back to the craft room  for you, to sniff some more Uhu glue.

100% troll.

You regularly see idiotic comments made on here, but thats just about the dumbest thing i have ever read.

To suggest Brayshaw could be Delisted indicates not just a low IQ, but a complete absence of brains.

Ignore button gets another workout.

You could probably make a call on a couple right now, but with half a season still to go I don't think anything is certain at the minute.  If there are a few injuries (god forbid!) then someone might get a run and show themselves to be quality depth worth another year on the list.

I've seen a few wanting to delist both King and Filipovic, but I doubt we will delist both.  Especially if we don't recontract Pedersen, which is highly likely, at the end of the season.  King has had more time on the list than Filipovic has, so you would assume that if they feel they have gotten as far as they can with King then he might be the one to the get the flick.

The ones who will get a new contract are obvious.  Jetta, Harmes, O Mac and Gus will get new deals and are crucial to the side going forward.  The rest?  That's anybodies guess right now.

Gee there's some decent names coming out of contact in 2019. Need to lock away a few this year if possible, Hogan particularly

Hogan

Melkaham

Salem

I think it drops off after that.

Half that list can’t get a game, Lewis and Jones are both nearly cooked. Potential in ANB, Smith and the Weed.

Big Demon makes a good point about Brayshaw. I'd be happy to package Brayshaw and Hogan up as a package and send them to Princess Park for Murphy. Probably concede we'll need a sweater for Carlton, so prepared to pay half of Hogan's salary in 2019 as well.

I am afraid you have either found an early drinking hole or have not been taking notice of Brayshaw's efforts. He is our outside mid !!!!! and we would be mad to lose him.

Suggesting we delist Brayshaw at the end of the season, yes that’s not trolling... don’t quote me in the future head-troll.

The irony.

You’re usually the first poster to come out in defence of players when they’re shitcanned and here, in such an obviously wrong assertion you’re in support.

Unbelievable.

For sure if Vanders comes back 100%. We need to be looking ahead to finals footy now and Vanders is the type of guy that is going to be handy in that environment if right. You can't play a guy like Angus in finals, he would be like a deer in the headlights.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.
