Lever looked really rattled and overrawed facing his old team.

Not.

This guy is brilliant!

Hey did anyone else notice how happy Pedders was for the team? greeting and cheering every player coming off, no sulking at all just genuine joy for the team, awesome bloke and great team first attitude - something that has the lid off and in orbit for me, this team first stuff will really make us a threat, Geelong comparisons starting to feel right.

(sadly hunt seemed flat by comparison)

And during the game outside the ground, running laps with Dom Tyson. Professional attitude. The tide has turned.

Just recapping. 18 consecutive quarters won brings us to second all time behind only the incredible Geelong of 2010. They managed 21 in a row. So, A clean sweep against the Dogs and we will hold the outright record.

Something to aim for, but if we fall short then that's ok, we just have to try for it again! And again! And Again! Bwaa ha ha ha haaaaaa.

It's a nice change from adding to the records for most consecutive lost quarters. 17 in 2007-2008, 16 in 2012-13,  and 15 in 2011. Thank you, St Kilda and GWS for keeping us safe from ever holding the overall record.

Just emphasizes that a new era really has begun.

Yep

Unberlivable. I knew we had talent and hoped we would see some of it on display this year.  I certainly didn't expect to see such dominance, even if only for a short window.

When I could not have been more proud of our team’s demolition of those scumbags, they upped it to another level again by singing the song in the middle around the aboriginal flag.

our club is all class.

Sorry Bruce, but that was special!

Absolutely put on a show, so glad to get to watch that with my kids, reckon they’ll have sore arms tomorrow, having waved their flags so much.

Overall, just an amazing team effort

One more thing, they did a version of our song in the Arrente language, was just fantastic and the locals were very impressed (its  the first time we have done this)

I was up there last year...long story, honouring the memory of the old man (2 years gone today) - got a book for my then 16month old boy of bird songs and birds in the Arrente langauge...tis a favourite.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’
