Hogan is having a mare

Yep, needs to stop worrying about the infringements and get on with it. Take it as a compliment Jesse that you're that good that they need to cheat.

If they're targetting Hogan, then have him clear the space for TMAC (seems to be working), then if they switch to TMAC, it will be Jesse's time to shine.

Go Demons. Suck it up Carlton!

[censored] the Foxtel commentators are very pro Carlton it’s sickening.

Eddie spaghetti is commentating for every possible free kick for carltank

The only one that is any good so far is Roberts.

Gee they are being looked after! Cripps jumped on the ground and got a free for in the back!

Is it me, or do the Blues always seem to drag us down to their level when we play them?

Need to snap out of the funk and create a break in the score line then ram it home.

Carton love playing us.

They look forward to it traditionally.

Learn how to do the center bounce you muppet

Jesus are the Blues landing some of the softest free kicks you've ever seen.

We are so much better than them.

Tim Smith isn't doing too bad at all.  Took a ripper mark deep in defence and his ability to get around the ground well is very handy.

Nice goal Bullen.

Suck it Carlton

Should win comfortably, but we’re not playing well. Winning more than enough ball, but our decision making has been average. We’re playing a horrible team so it’s fine today, but we won’t beat the top teams until that changes.

I just wish we could convert our dominance in possession into a bigger scoreline. We let teams score too easily from little opportunity.

Our two best mids in Oliver and Viney have had no impact today, so good to be winning the contested battle despite their output being down.

Smith is working his way into it. Some good signs from him, even though I still think Pedersen would be giving a lot more.

Typical shite Vince kick. He's just about out of credits.

What the fucken hell 2as that from Vince?

Why the hell are we so gung-ho of pulling it to the middle of the D50?

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

  • GAMEDAY: Essendon

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
