If we want to have any strong chance of keeping this list together, we simply have to win serious games of Football

half the Competition would love nothing more than to rip our list apart.
They don’t want the MFC to succeed.

Hogan was/is a talented boy who won’t make it long term in this league

It was sad to see him go, but it was the right decision.
he is not the core we need to fight for

Despite having the superstar image, Trac always seemed to me as a real needs to be loved player. As long as we keep winning, i'm sure he will get a enough love from the club and fans.

Not sure we we really wanted to keep Hogan though.

That was a no win situation for Trac. He was in a set up. He knew it going in and no doubt so did the club and his manager. He stayed to script. He was no more nervous or unconvincing in his responses to last time he was on the show. Will get better but a long way to go as a media performer.

I don't know what people expect from him. He hasn't knocked back an offer from the club or anything like that.

Does anyone know who Trac's manager is. If its Paul Connors beware. He is Ollie's manager. I will not forget the Judd debacle.

You do also realise that he represents the player, he is the players representative to clubs to discuss with them how he wants to proceed, he is not making the decision for the player...

Judd made his own call and with the help of Connors used Melb to get a massive pay packet at a two bit, poo box club. Seeing Judd and his wife’s ways of making money since, the way the Dees (a three bit, poo box club at the time) were used as leverage is not surprising even if annoying for us.

From the horse's mouth:

Asked whether he wants to be at Melbourne beyond his current contract, he replied: “Yeah, I do. I love the club.”  He later added: “Being a one-club player is pretty special.”

I watched him live on AFL360 and 2 things occurred to me:

1. Pettacca seems happy.

2. Mark Robinson is the least intelligent person to ever be on Television in Australia. It’s impossible for him to get through a sentence without saying 2 words incorrectly. He’s oafish, rude and unbearable. I can’t stand that show, and haven’t watched it in years because of him. We have some very smart, articulate people in the football community, and it’s mind boggling that he somehow ends up getting so much work. He offers nothing.

In Trac's situation, unless he's made the decision or is about to re-sign, it would be remiss to declare his never leaving.

Clubs winning, strong relationship with Goody, getting marquee opportunities (Afl360), in our unofficial leadership group, best mates with Clarry & Salem and now mentoring Kozzy & Spargo. The signs are great.

Ban yourself!

Am I reading this wrong or is the fact that CP5 used to have a poster of Scott Pendlebury on his bedroom wall and Collingwood made a complete @rse of their last trade period the two things driving this narrative ?

People (usually driven by the media) make such a big deal about the club that players supported as a kid. Sure we'd all love to play for the Dees but if we were drafted by Fremantle you'd probably be a Docker through and through.

Although if the Dees then came knocking with a mighty big cheque ...

Pendles was a Demon Supporter growing up...

People need to stop getting sucked in by lazy journalism. I've said it a million times and i'll say it again - outlets report provocative crap like this for clicks.

clicks = dollars.

Why don't we just tranfer the whole Team over to Collingwood. they want Weideman, Petracca, Oliver and they are sniffing around

Kossie and Spargo.

The Television Media are in a beverage filled stupor over a Club they, unless the mums and dads told them, have never even heard of, let alone had to study conscientiously, so at last, in line with doing a job, just have to actually work creatively and not just heresay.

I watched the start of Christian's segment but, as much as I wanted to watch our boy perform well on TV, I had to change channels because I could not stand Robinson's dumb, insulting and offensive questioning of Christian's future intentions.

Should this happen again, Christian should be primed with a quick, pithy response such as "you'll be the last to know", or "I'll let you know when I know" or "my contract is my business so please don't ask again". Or better still alert Whately before the show to control the mouth on his left.

It might hurt Christian's media career on 360 but so what? He is a smart boy and will do well wherever he goes post footy. He doesn't need drek like Robbo.

I just watched his spot on 360

Robinson really is cringe worthy to the point of pure anger

The definition of gutter sport journalism

I haven’t read a HUN for nearly 2 years, i feel much cleaner.

That is one of the most disgusting posts I have seen on this site.

I would ban myself for a month if I were you.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
