Just watching this game and the domination of the GWS midfield stars.  As a hypothetical, assuming we could get the trade done and GWS played ball, which one would you take?

Kelly as he is just the type of player we need.

But Shiel is my fave.

Kelly for me is the best inside/outside mid. Although Shiel is only just behind him.

Virtually any of them would drastically improve our side.

Given our good trading relationship with GWS, I wonder if we have approached them for anyone.

Kelly suits our needs most, but Coniglio does it all. One of best all round mids in the game.

i'd rather see them boiled.

Scully

And then I would play him at Casey every week.

Yes, I am that vindictive.....

Other- Toby Greene, I don't care what position he plays.

Any of their midfield walks into ours.....

That would be one of the funniest turn of events ever! :P

With GWS signing up Kelly maybe we should look at making a play for one of their young midfield guns, I'm not across their list like others are but I remember when the snatched Scully from us we vowed to get one back on them. So far Tyson, Frost, and Bugg are the only players of significance to come across and they aren't amazing in the grand scheme.

Jacob Hopper looks a player with a big future. Would be very handy in most teams.

i'd like to punch Greene and poach Kelly.

Yeah, I'd poach Scully too.  With fava beans and a nice chianti.

Oliver will be better than all of them.

Probably, but he is only one.

Thanks, Dr Lechter.  I would prefer him deep fried in thick batter: his dad may object at not being invited to partake in the fest though.

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
