Sneaky suspicion he will get picked up by Sydney. On the small ground his pace won't be an issue and he would come cheap - an issue for Sydney with Buddy and Tippett. His footy smarts and strong marking would be ideal for the Swans.

Strangely i was thinking the same.At a good club with a solid backline his clean disposal would fit in.

Trengove seems like a nice lad. Good demeanor. Just not cut out to be a footballer. Maybe a lack of talent in the end, not sure. Just wasn't cut out for it. Some have it and some don't.

He was made to be a footy player cut down by injury nothing else. Got the captaincy far too early, there were times when form dictated him be dropped as all third year player need to be, but because he was captain in his third season that was a joke by neeld, they say the players voted for it, the empowerment of the player went to far in this case. I know I will get knocked down but Maloney should have been made captain or Jones, and for Maloney he was not the best person for the job it was just no one else was ready for it.

This might well be correct. I think he is an ideal back pocket, has good footy smarts, reads the game well.

That's sheer bloody rubbish! You obviously didn't see him in his first year

Green should have kept the captaincy for another year. Neeld wanted to make a statement and he did. Just not the one he or we were hoping for. Turned out to be every bit as disastrous as our handling of Juniour.

His body might not have been up to it, but until he got the footy injury he was well and truly up to it.  I was excited for his future, and then he got the captaincy way too soon and a foot injury that he's never really recovered from.  It's a shame.

Bottom line is that he certainly had the talent.  It was just taken from him in the end.

Without wanting to rake over old coals was Green shunted for the 186 debacle?

I doubt it and think Neeld was just trying to make a statement.

Watch Jack Trengove giving his ‘farewell speech’ at the B&F.

Absolute champion bloke. Another cursed MFC champion.

Hope he gets success wherever or whatever the future brings.

Yeah there was a lot of " water boarding " there and he's still on the list and it went on for far too long.

If they gave it to 9 then "they " should have given it to 4 too to say a few words

All of you're 3 lines above say it all

If we as a club are as advanced as " they like to think " then Watts wrong with hearing it from the obviously the most popular player in the room by the hand claps !?

Beware of South Australians they are some WATT [censored] !

Qweaere doesn't even qualify as cromulent. I think that was your spell-checker taking offence rather than the censor

Just watched Trenners speech on the club's website.

He's a fabulous bloke. Such a pity injuries can cruel a footballer's career.

Godspeed Jack - I'm sure every Demons supporter wishes all the very best.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
